Twilight - 6.5/10 It wasn't a bad movie, and I probably would have liked it more had I read the book. It was quite a bit better than my expectations actually, because I did enjoy a good chunk of it...but it turned chick flickish near the end.
Tropic Thunder -- 8/10 -- quite a bit funnier than I was expecting. Cameo's were distracting. Step Brothers -- 7/10 -- typical Farrel fare. Wet Hot American Summer -- 8/10 -- Paul Rudd is on fire in this movie from before he was famous.
What? It really wasn't horrifyingly shit. The reason it got a 6.5 from me was because it was actually better than what I'd expected. I'm not saying it's a great movie by any means, but it was ok. You should talk to my friend Victor or my twin brother..either of them. They both thought the movie was fantastic. My friend Victor actually goes to the point to say it's one of the five best movies he's seen this year. And yes, he has seen more than five.
Pineapple Express- I agree with BJM that it wasn't as good as the others movies, but still very funny and deserves a watch. 8/10
Sherrybaby- 8/10. Really good story and Maggie Gylenhall is fantastic in the movie. Hits a little closer to home for me because I have a sister who was once in a similar situation to the character in the film but again, I stress that Maggie Gylenhall is unbelievably realistic and many times reminded me exactly of my sister and her old crazy ass druggie friends. Its about a woman being released from jail who was a drug addict. She struggles to be re-accepted back into her family and getting to know/be a mother to her young daughter who was raised by her brother and his wife while she was in jail. Other acting in the movie isn't very good though lol.
Rocket Science: Goofy but funny I thought. It has a well written script and appropriate soundtrack which fits the atmosphere of the film. 8/10.
Wanted - 9/10 Pretty good, lots of action, and Jolie is the second most sexiest woman alive, so...Cant really go wrong their. I would have made the ending a little different tho...
The Dark Knight - 10000/10 Recently watched it on DVD and it's still as good as it was when I saw it 3 times in theaters.
Yes Man - 8.5/10 This wasn't as funny as I thought it was going to be, but it was still a very funny movie and had a pretty damn good message to it too. The Spirit - 6.5/10 Not nearly as good as I thought it would be. The story was relatively weak, the acting was merely ok, the action was ok....overall....not that good of a movie, but it was an ok movie. Definitely not a movie I'll be seeing again or buying on DVD.
The Sixth Sense - 9/10. Very sick movie, mindfuck. But damn it was good. L.A. Confidental - 9/10 - great casting and a great movie. Both of them are in my top 20 without a doubt.
Max Payne - 3/10...ugh.... -plot sucked and even though I wanted to leave early I decided to wait it out in hopes of a good ending to warrant me wasting 1 hour and a 1/2 of my life.....sadly....it never came Bedtime Stories (Adam Sandler) - 8/10 Very nice Family movie, with some good laughs at times
