I think it's because Carter plays better off the ball than Harris. When Harris has the ball Carter is the better spot up shooter than when Vince has the ball and Harris is spotting up.

But the real problem is the defense.

A few days ago I made a thread suggesting the Nets be a true run and gun team because they don't seem to and probably wont end up being a defensive team with the current players. They don't have anyone who sets a defensive tone that filters through the rest of the team and Frank has for the longest time not been able to make the Nets play consistent defense throughout the season.

But Harris and Carter can set an offensive tone. Harris would have more opportunities to get out in the open floor and use his speed for fast break points. Hayes has shown he can run the floor well. Yi has speed to run. Carter can pull up for transition 3's. Simmons would have to be replaced though.

I say it again, frank's small ball just doesn't work, he has three choice, if he still want to play small ball, put boone in instead of lopez, even put yi in is the better answer, other two choice, if he doesn't trust yi, put boone and lopez in together, if he trust Yi, put the starting lineup in when in the fourth quarter.

I explain why, lopez is too slow, he can't spread the floor well but boone and yi can, three defenders collapse to DH and VC, other guys can't hit a shot, and lopez isn't a good defense center, so this cast just doesn't work.

    Rose > Harris.

Harris should pass the ball more....

The Nets lose, because of the fuck sucking defense.

Not because of Lopez, Lopez was doing great in the paint, and our shooters suck.

And Lopez is not slow, thanks.

Remember this is Rose first year. So that's the scary thing. I can't wait to see him in year three

    What?

Yi is horrible. He is the only player in the league where he has been block by the rim four times this season.

    Saw that on www.slamonline.com

Yi can not defend a 5 year old. Yet alone an nba player

funny, sounds exactly like the bulls forum. I think you guys have more sure keepers than the bulls do. Rose is the only one. Lopez and Harris are for sure keepers for the nets. You guys just had the misfortune to make the bulls look good tonight.

I didn't see this game, but I've seen most of the Bulls games this season.

No problem with Frank going small - the Bulls played 3 guards a lot of the time: Hughes, Gordon, and Rose. Frank was matching up with that and playing the lineup he likes at the same time.

The Bulls also play a lot of zone with their small lineup, so quickness and slashing to the basket are not that effective.

Carter and Harris shot about 50% of the team's shots and shot nearly 50%. The rest of the team shot about 20%.

The Nets really suck at their home, and nobody knows why.

He will be a great combo guard, who scores like Wade, passes like Kidd.

Why did nets play well in the third quarter, because Yi can spreed the floor well even he can't hit a fucking shot, he still took some pressure off DH and VC, and he rebound well, do a good defense.

Explain why the Nets sucked in the first quarter while Yi was in the game.

The diffrence was that Harris was making his shots in the third quarter.

We don't need Yi just stands beyong the arc, and missed most of the shots.

Lopez can post up, and create for our shooters.

Probably has something to do with Harris and VC taking all your shots no matter what. The Nets allowed the bulls to hide BG on Simmons and Simmons only took 6 shots. He only posted BG up once. Nets are real easy to defense if they don't try and exploit matchups. Just collapse on Harris and VC. Nobody else gets in a rhythm, other team doesn't have to adjust.

Noah is the 2nd version of Varejao, he hustles, and that's one of the reasons that the Nets lost.

You bulls is really great, Hughes Noah Nocioci are too good to play off the bench.

The Nets always play zone defense, and your shooters can shoot anyway like hell.

They only look good against the nets. They are everybit as mediocre as the nets are, and the bulls record bears that out. Hughes, Noah, Noc, TT, Thabo, even BG and all the rest look good every third or fourth game, but they are just as inconsistent as anybody on the nets. The one positive things is most of the guys are under 24, so there is still time. And TT is starting to show flashes so there is hope.

They can't exploit that Simmons-Gordon match up because Simmons is a disaster when he tries to post up or put the ball on the floor. In years past the Nets could use Kidd, Carter, or Jefferson to post up and wear down Gordon. They can't now with Simmons on the floor.
