Many of you have probably already seen this . . . but damn. A pool that cost more than my house. Must be nice Arenas. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ba...million-dollar-pool-and-mountai?urn=nba,96965
I know people have earned their money, but fuck, that money could be going to the homeless or to fight a good cause. No one needs a million dollar pool..what a waste of money.
I'm assuming he has a lot more bells and whistles, but I installed a pool here at my house in the Houston area last year and it was nowhere near that. The point of this is not to be bragging, but my pool is 25,000 gallons (pretty decent size) It also has a rock feature about 8' high with a water fall and slide. I have a cave with a bar and 32" waterproof tv in it as well and seating for about 4 comfortably, 5-6 if need be. It is also a salt water pool which adds cost and I have special pebbles on the bottom of my pool that eluminate the sun light and turn the bottom all different colors throughout the day. My entire structure cost under 50k. My entire back yard which has cool deck for the sun, and an 30' X 15" arbor with a see through protective roof on it only cost 100k...including the pool. I just don't get how it could be so much honestly. Oh and for MAS My wife and I give money to St. Judes childrens hospital every year. Great cause by the way. They never turn away children for lack of payment. They take everyone and they are one of the best hospitals for children with cancer in the US.
And just for clarity. I do not think having nice things is wrong, just some things (like Arenas' pool) are over the top and could be done without.
Kinda old news. But yeah, that seems a bit too much. But seriously, how sweet would it be to have your own Grotto in Playboy fashion. I hope I can get me one of those. Pools that is. I will get the playmates myself.
So you're the nekkid guy who is always pressing himself up against my windows! You are scaring the children, y'know. barfo
Before I clicked on this link, I thought this thread was about a gambling pool with a $1 million buy in. Now that would be some news.
LOL, long way to go for most of you. I believe it's a solid 3 day trip by car, and a solid $250-$300 by air. Nothing I own is worth that. AND You'd have to deal with my children .
This pool is only missing one thing. A huge mural of Gilbert Arenas in a suit, with a pitbull, and the U.S. Capitol Building in the background. -Pop
the fish tanks are probably the biggest amount of money, he has one of the largest private shark tanks in the universe if i remember correctly.
My wife bought me a replica of the leg lamp and "fragile" box it came in from the movie "A Christmas Story" for Chistmas this year. I have that poudly stationed outside by the pool. Gil has nothing on me with his mural
