Already been done i think. And this is so unfair because some idiots are going to compare tmac from this season to kobe this season.

This year and 2003-2004: KobeLast year, 2002-2003, and 2001-2002: T-MacI don't know. With T-Mac hurting, I'd definately say Kobe. With both them 100% healthy, I actually feel it is a tie, possibly small edge to Mac.

Kobe right now. McGrady has alot in him but not the things that Kobe Bryant has in him. He is to good to be compared to.

When they are both healthy I think Kobe has a slight advantage, but they are both tremendous players who can flat-out take over a game. Gotta give the nod to Kobe, though...

As some people know *Melo Cough * I've always loved Tracy's game, but if I said he's better, or even close at this point Ballaholic might as well ban me

I don't see how TMac is close at this point, as Kobe has had two of the greatest games ever this year alone, and is leading a mediocre team to a record they shouldn't be 10 games close to. TMac on the other hand is playing horrible basketball this year, and shows no signs of getting better

If he had played those games, he'd be leading a mediocre team to a 5th or 6th seed. T-Mac had a 62 point game before (and had 5 assists and like 7 rebounds that game) and I'd say while his 13 points in 32 seconds isn't as impressive as an 81 point game, it is still damn impressive. I agree that T-Mac is having probably his worst season ever, but he is still a top 3-5 SG/SF this year. Last year, T-Mac had a far superior year. Kobe is now a designated scorer so that takes a lot of pressure off him, T-Mac is still the main playmaker for Rockets and plays almost like a PG. When Kobe wa sin T-Mac's position last year, he had his worst season of his career. So, while I can definately see everyone saying Kobe is having a much better season, T-Mac has had better seasons 2 of the past 4 years. He has also proven he can play D, so while Kobe is still ebtter at that, it is not a weak point of T-Mac anymore. T-Mac has also proven he is clutch time and time again just like Kobe. I still feel T-Mac is a slightly better pure scorer when healthy. T-Mac has also proven he can carry crap teams to the playoffs, while Kobe still has to prove that. T-Mac is having a bad season, but when healthy, I feel he is right there with Kobe.

Latley after watching more Orlando games than i have, i feel for the guy. I underrated him massively, however if both are healthy i'll still give it to kobe. Not by much though.I'm ashamed to say but i think i'm starting to like tmacedit: Tmac never played D in Orlando because he had no energy, he had to use all his energy on D. In tornoto he was brought on to play D.And tmac is semi clutch, i've called him a choker but that is partly true. Being 3-1 up in a series and then losing is shameful. He has disappeared actually quite alot, like in the first round of last year. Check out his stats in the 4th quarter in losses, not including game 7. I gotta give him credit on hitting the gamewinner in game 2 but he needed to carry that into the next few games. And you forget that when Tmac carried his team to the playoffs the east was weak. Very weak that NJ made it to the finals in those years and got dismantled. I don't see Tmac leading his team to the playoffs when he gets injured, when he's sidekick gets injured, when he's coach resigns and is replaced with one who doesn't want to be there. And it's only been 2 years.

i can go either way on this but i'm going with kobe as much as i hate the guy. kobe is a better shooter from the outside, stronger, and better defensively.

Kobe Bryant is averaging 35 ppg because he takes more then half of his teams shots. If Mcgrady did the same he would be putting up the same numbers.I like Kobe alot hes a great player but T-macs the better all around player in the my opnion.Kobe did have a better career and all that. These two are about even but i rather T-mac on my team if i already got a leader but Kobe if we need a leader.Kobes the best leader in the NBA right now hes leading his La Lakers into the playoffs and giving it all he got.But i have to say Its Tie but i Like Tmac better.

If they had won that game, it would have been a game 7. Nets are another team, despite being in a weak conference, they were very good.-This year alone: 2 game winners, game winning block shot on JRich, and countless games of him taking over late in games to lead them to a win. T-Mac is clutch. Last year in the playoffs he was clutch, but when he was double and triple teamed, he had to give it to Yao. I blame Rockets collapse last year mostly due to Yao's crap play in playoffs.

The way I see it, we are talking about now, and this year there is no doubt Kobe is playing better. I stick to everything I said back when myself and Melo debated in the old board, abut as of this season Kobe is playing much much better. TMac has been injured so muc it's hard to judge...

kobe bryant 100%. his mentality is bar none in the nba. Yeah tmac and kobe can compare in talent, kobe is superior. he has carried the lakers on his shoulders since the departure of shaquille. the 81 pt game was amazing but that one game still does not justify that kobe is better. tmac has had a frutiful career so far but I do not see any rings on his finger, at least just not yet.
