Well, now the excuses are pouring in for what might've been the worst pro performance of Big Nog's career. After the fight Nogueira admitted that he wasn't at 100% (who ever is?) suggesting he was recovering from an injury. Dana White has now revealed that Nog had a Staph infection that cleared up shortly before UFC 92, enabling him to fight, but one that seemingly sapped his energy. Like a true champion Nog took the fight and did his best but you have to wonder if it might've been better for him to put the fight off a month or two after seeing what little he was able to muster in his first title defense.
Well if this is true Nog should have no problem bouncing back in his next fight. Honestly, with the HW division lacking in star power and high quality guys Nog should be fighting for the title again if he can put together a couple of wins.
Big Nog had staph http://fiveouncesofpain.com/2008/12...-audio-of-ufc-president-breaking-down-ufc-92/ Coming from someone who had Staph twice in the same wound.... it sucks dudes.
