http://www.nba.com/video/channels/n...229_lebronvskobe.nba/index.html?player=nba_tv Done by Rick Kamla... (Not a Fantasy comparison) Sorry, i just had to post this... And BTW, This is not a Hate LBJ - Love Kobe video or vice - versa... This video simply disects the 2 players games (i dont completely agree however) 1st it gives shooting to Kobe (obviously with the better form)... however Kamla gives Rebouding, Playmaking and Defending to LeBron? I would have to DISAGREE... Of Course LeBron would get more rebounds... He's way bigger and longer than Kobe and plays the 3 spot (sometimes even the 4). Kobe has Bynum, Pau, LO, and co. to grab those rebounds for him that is why i am very very impressed with kobe's 5rpg compared to lebron's 6 - 7 rpg. In terms of playmaking, YES LBJ has the edge on Kobe BUT, thats simply because LeBron commands the ball and is surrounded by shooters and trash point players LOL... Kobe and co. run the triangle which moves the ball around looking for the best angle... Kobe could easily average more than 4 assists a game if all he did was drive and dish. On Defence... I agree with Rick... Kobe is the better 1 on 1 defender but doesnt get enought statistical recognition, but LeBron plays the passing lanes and the paint better (blocks more shots and steals more), but id have to add that LeBron's 'size' (ehem) plays a BIG role in this, the guy is almost 7" (if not more) in wingspan... Next: Clutch - Kobe Toughness - Tie Hunger - LBJ (doesnt have rings yet... so? LOL) Leadership - LBJ I dont like how he compared Kobe to LBJ in terms of leadership... He compared their performances against the Celtics in last year's playoffs and finals... we all know how that went LBJ is the better statistical beast, hands down, but you can never count out Kobe's tenacity. All in all... kobe and lbj are different kinds of players but both are simply great players... Thoughts?
LeBron has gone on record saying Kobe is the best player in the world. Aside from this, I've always favored Kobe over LeBron anyway.
Lebron vs Kobe is cliche. Lebron has outplayed Kobe this year... Beyond that they're pretty much equal now IMO. Although if I had to win one game, I'd still pick Kobe no hesitation. But Lebron's been beasting this year, give him credit when it's due. The guy's nearly unstoppable and he's only 23. Also, size means nothing.
Kobe plays the game more fluently and with more beauty, in my opinion, which is why I think he still is better than LeBron.
