What are the chances of nate doing this again? I think the game Vs the celtics turned to our favor at that point what do you think?

Whoever takes it inside is going to feel it. I actually think Oden is more aggressive than Przybilla. Oden has a little mean streak to him.

I liked it, but what i like more would be a HUGE front court. LA, ODEN, and PRYZ that would be scary!

It kind of worked, we got the ball inside more. I think it's more of a gimmick than a regular unit

It's the kind of thing you pull out in the playoffs like a trick play in football. We probably won't see that again for a while.

I thought it worked well. Pryz got a dunk and Oden followed it with one of his own. Sadly, I'm not sure when the next time we'll have Joel AND Oden both with <2 fouls for us to use it often. I liked it a lot though.

Maybe against the Lakers when they come with Bynum, Pau, & Odom at the same time...which wouldnt be for too long and maybe not at all

Twin Towers worked great. In fact when I saw it happening, I was almost giddy. The whole idea that we could cut down the rotation of the 4 and 5 to 3 guys, all of whom are quality defenders, would be great.

I also believe it is what made the difference in the game. It was that stretch with those two physical guys in there dominating that got Portland back into this game. The message Oden sent Allen when he fouled him and sent him into the stands was a very strong message indeed.

When shots aren't falling for either team, you have to take control of the paint. That's what Portland did, putting Przybilla out there with Oden.

    Great decision by Nate.

Yea, but you could tell that was not spur of the moment. They had worked on something for this game...there were a few plays there that were set up with those 2 in there to work with. I believe this was planned.

I'm sure they've planned a lot of possible things. But not necessarily when they plan to use them. I have no idea whether it was an in-game decision or not, but it was definitely the right move.

It was a great move by Nate, especially now that Greg has shown an ability to score on the post and can pass out of the double teams. No teams would dare come inside with Greg and Joel defending the hoop... that's just a monstrous defensive presence, and I hope we see more of that as Greg develops more and more offensively.

Gotta give credit to Nate on this one. He noticed that our backup PF position was shit tonight (as usual), and got creative. It's not often that he changes rotations on the go.

I guess the question become...can Portland cut down the rotation at the 4 and 5 to just LA, Oden, and Joel? All 3 of those guys bring the physical game, length, D. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. I hope it is a sign of things to come.

I was really excited to see what would happen with this 2-center line up. It seemed to catch Boston by surprise and we got some good possessions out of it. So it was nice while it lasted. Almost as awesome as our 6 man play. That had to be the best part of the win. I was cracking up when I realized how Outlaw got such a wide open jam.

I am not a Nate supporter at all, but that was a great move.

When your offense is struggling you need to control the paint, and both Oden and Joel do that. I think it also helps Oden stay out of foul trouble a bit more because teams aren't as likely to attack the rim with both players in there.

I would have liked to have seen an Oden, Joel and LMA front line for a play or two. Aldridge is athletic enough to handle the 3 for a few minutes. Those three with Batum and Bayless would be a great defensive team for short spurts.

Kudos to Nate for not sticking with his standard script.

    I love it.

On offense: one big man on either side of the paint -- so get either one the ball for a dunk. As long as you can move the ball, it works. Especially since Oden is a pretty nifty passer himself.

And on defense... wow. Boston just stayed away. What kind of a fool would drive into Oden and Pryz?

I hope we see it more.
