Re: Best big man over 7'2? Heres my list.1. Artis Gilmore- This man shot a amazing percentage from the field and if I am not mistaken he is top 3 all time in field goal %?2. Shawn Bradley- Yes he is on every poster in every room but the man wasnt that bad. He was a very good shoter blocker and he is the only player in NBA history to get 10 or more blocks in back to back games on two seperate occasions. He has a good soft shooting touch, an effective hook shot, and a huge wingspan.3. Zydrunas Ilgauskas - Productive big man. Also a good shooting touch.4. Mark Eaton- 2 time defensive player of the year. He was one if not the best shot blocker in league history. I remember watching tape about him and he blocked over 5 shots per game for an entire season in the mid 80's. He probably had the biggest impact on the game for any player who didnt average 10 points per game.5. Manute Boi- I remember him leading the league in blocks and he only played 20 minutes per game!!!
Re: Best big man over 7'2? 1. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar 2. Artis Gilmore 3. Dikembe Mutombo 4. Yao Ming 5. Mark Eaton
Re: Best big man over 7'2? BCB, Kareem was 7'3? I thought he was always 7'2. But the best is Artis Gilmore. He is one of the underrated players but he can shine when needed.
Re: Best big man over 7'2? and you chose to put Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Shawn Bradley in your list and not Yao Ming........SHAWN BRADLEY! when does a "huge wingspan" make you awesome. he could block shots cool. he wasn't ever good enough to be considered better than yao ming. and then Zydrunas Ilgauskas' stats have never been better than yao's.. not even in one year. he has skills and he's a talented big man sure, but he's not better than yao ming.. his stats and talent speak for itself.i dunno leaving yao out of a list for talented big men over 7'2" is ridiculous even if i wasn't a yao fan i'd say something. that's just MY opinion.whatever though, whatever.
Re: Best big man over 7'2? I think Abdul-Jabar is the greatest, but for my favorite guy over 7' 2'' I'd have to say Dikembe Mutombo, he's one of the most underrated big man of all time. I have never seen a defensive powerhouse like mutombo, in the mid 90's you could not drive past him or else you'd get the swat and the finger point no-no from dikembe. He was always a fun player to watch.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Where's Dikembe Mutumbo?</div>He's still on the Houston Rockets, he's played 44 games and he's averaging about 2.6 pts and 5.5 rebounds in 16 minutes per contest. He's still a resourceful player.Worst big man over 7' 2''??The PosterChild himself, 7' 7'' Shawn Bradley.

Re: Best big man over 7'2? " He was not the worst NBA player over 7'2" "Fine, he was the worst player over 7' 6" haha
Re: Best big man over 7'2? All time definitly Kareem, and yao ming and ilgauskas are very good too. Bradley had alot of blocks but he hurt the teams more than he helped.

Bradley had a solid NBA career. It wasn't until his last 3-4 years in Dallas when his knees started to go that he fell victim to the Steven A. Smiths of the country who use their top ten plays and dunk highlights to lead people who never actually watched the man play (like you) to believe that he was anything less than a solid NBA player. The dude was one the greatest shotblockers in NBA history, as well as a decent scorer and rebounder for the majority of his career. If you ever watched him play for a full game, you'd see that he was one of the best defensive centers of his era. He completely changed the game with his presense and protected the paint like few others. The man also had phenominal shooting range for a man his size. Take a look at his career stats. http://www.basketballreference.com/players...ilkid=BRADLSH01He had a pretty damn impressive NBA career.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (WELCOMEtotheJUNGLE @ Feb 22 2006, 11:41 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>" He was not the worst NBA player over 7'2" "Fine, he was the worst player over 7' 6" haha</div>Bradley was a shitload better than Manute.
