Great article. Aldridge hit some huge shots against Boston last night, with defenders all over him. The guy is amazing.

Saw that earlier. Possibly the best article I've read on LMA.

Great article by Ric Bucher on LMA, especially timely after he had such a stellar night against Boston.

My favorite part of the article:
Couldn't agree more with this assessment

What a well-written article. It was an insightful look at LaMarcus- I didn't know a lot of that background info on him. Why can't the Oregonian write an informative piece like this?

I had no idea LMA was like that. QUick's comment about being cut-off from interviews for a week for mentioning "soft" makes sense now.

Seems borderline paranoid, and a bit self-righteous to me.

Guess he thinks his shit don't stink.

Why do you have to read negativity into that article? The fact that he's improving on his social skills this season should be a positive. People have baggage. Most people have baggage. It amazes me how some people think athletes are supposed to be above all that, simply because they can play a sport professionally. They are human.

Really? I didn't get that impression at all from this article. Interesting how people can read the same exact article and come away with two entirely different views. I agree he has trust issues for obvious reasons, but I disagree he is self righteous. And he certainly does not appear to think he is better than anyone else.

IF you believe Ric Bucher's assesment 100%, than I understand where you are coming from. I like Bucher, but this article sounds pop psychologisty to me. Did LA really avoid Roy last year on the sole basis of not being invited to a B-Que? On that one act alone? That would be "bonderline paranoid". IF (in fact) LA steared completely clear of B-Roy last year (and I doubt that, or we would have heard about it) it seems more probable that there's more to the story than not being invited to one outing. That's the kind of thing I think Bucher overgeneralizes in this article. Or by insinuating that the Blazers organization has to deal with LA with kid gloves so as not to bruise his ego. ALL professional athletes have egos. Does the organization make an effort to roll Lamarcus out there WITH B-Roy and Oden as the face of the organization? Probably, but not for the sole reason that Bucker would have you believe - that LA would turn on the organization if he felt slighted. He makes it sound like everybody in the organization from KP to Nate walks on egg shells. I don't think Lamarcus is that fragile. I just think Bucker takes a few liberties here to make for a better read.
