So far, Ive watched a team that can run the ball, does not turn the ball over, and avoids penalties....thats a formula that will win a ton of football games in this league....but are they really a contender or are they a year away?
I really don't know what to make of the division. The Dolphins have had two big wins in a row, and their schedule isn't too bad (games against the Rams, Raiders, Chiefs and Seahawks help that). If they keep playing like they have been, they'll have a chance. The Bills have looked good, but if Edwards is out for a while, who knows. The Pats have been better then I thought since Brady went down, but Cassel has been shakey. The Jets have been up and down. Last game it looks like they got their stuff together, but it'll be a wait and see. Honestly at this point, if you tell me any of those teams would go on to win the division, I wouldn't be all the shocked.
I think the Dolphins will have a chance to win the division if there aren't any key injuries. They definitely won't finish last again, the Jets will.
I think the whole division is pretty much open. I think the Bills are going to cool off and quick and perhaps the Jets start playing consistent. Are they a threat? Yes. Will they? That's another story.
The Patriots will win the division. Book it. I like how the Dolphins are playing though. Give them credit.
The Dolphins could still easily finish last. I'm not in love with any team in the AFC East, but I'd be skeptical to be honest with Chad at the helm (yeah Cassell isn't great either but he's got the team around him).
Ah this was before the Bills slipped, I was off them quite quickly into November. The way the Jets spiraled down really surprised me, and the Pats not making the playoffs at 11-5 was just bad luck for them. Congrats to all the Fins for playing much better this season though.
I just don't see them being a threat in the playoffs. They had an incredible year and definitely surprised me, though.
