So do we cut Randolph and sign Steven Hill?

    I believe Hill signed elsewhere.

No worries, he doesn't feel pain like us mortals.

Hopefully it won't affect his game too much. On the plus side, and least he's not a shooter or ball handler.

It depends on how severe his injury is, but I think he should rest. Save him for the end of the season and the playoffs, and hopefully prevent him from further injuring it now.

By the way, do this deal now!

He was waived by the OKC Thunder to make room for Kristic. I believe he is currently available.

More time now for Channing, and possibly Ike, and maybe Travis gets 25-30 a game. Oh boy.... we're going to miss his toughness inside if he's out

As long as Oden can stay out of foul trouble, just increase Greg's minutes so Joel can rest that way and sit him out in games we should win (Thunder, Wiz, Grizz, etc)

It's the same kind of injury Kobe played through last year, the difference being Kobe's was on his pinky, and Joel's is on the side of his thumb.

Thumb injuries suck. Every time I jammed my thumb playing I would find new and exciting ways to hit it.

I do believe that he was recently waived for Krtsic also.

That is devastating if he can't play through it. He is irreplaceable. But his value is not his shooting so hopefully he can play through it.

It's not the thumb that is injured. His wrist is injured, but on the side that his thumb is. While he doesn't shoot much, we have though used him on O some, he does have to rebound which it might affect.

Is Randolph big enough to play center? I don't want Joel to risk further injury by playing too much.

He's 6'10", but we'd have to deactivate Joel to activate Shavlik. if he turns out to be a bust at backup C, we're screwed for the rest of the game.

Re: Przybilla wrist injury (6-8 week recovery time) ... but he'll try to play through

Wow, this could be huge. One of the main players I don't think we can do without very well. Hopefully everyone will step up a little, so when he is back to full strength we will be even better for it.

Maybe this is going to further help devleop big G-O.

But if we sub out Joel for Channing... oh man. Not looking forward to that. I don't think we need Channing's skillset from our C position. Having Greg/Joel at C always was such a luxery. I do hope he can play through it with limited minutes.

Get ready to see more Frye!

Re: Przybilla wrist injury (6-8 week recovery time) ... but he'll try to play through

I hope we see more Ike. He's a couple inches shorter but he's stronger and plays a game more similar to Joel in terms of being able to rebound and take up space defensively. Clearly he's not as good as Joel, but he's closer to Joel than Frye.
