After ringing in the new year in style UFC lightweight Josh Neer took his Quattro out for a drive. In an alcohol-fueled haze he rear-ended a car stopped at a red light. The car he hit lurched forward on impact, hitting the car in front of it--a police cruiser. Neer then veered into the intersection and led police on a high-speed chase through Des Moins before a spike strip was used to shred his tires and bring him to a stop. The incident is Neer's second OWI/DWI/DUI. In his defense, he had just watched The Secret and thought his friend's life was in danger. Wait--did someone already use that excuse? Neer is/was scheduled to fight Mac Danzig at the next Ultimate Fight Night.
