This summer, the Nets, as they have been doing for some time now, will check on the availibility of Garnett, and this year, more than any year to this point, it will be more likely that Minnesota will be willing to deal the talented big man. I honestly believe the Nets have one of the best shots of acquiring him and have the ability to put together a solid package for him that would make Minny consider the deal...Richard Jefferson would be the centerpiece of such a trade and, this summer, he looses his BYC status in his contract to make the deal possible. Additionally, the Nets could include their 2 first round picks for this coming draft, and if necessary, Nenad Krstic. As much as I would hate to see those two guys go, the trio of Garnett, Carter, and Kidd would be too great to resist, and I think it should be interesting to see what kind of push Thorn makes to try to get something done. This is all assuming he doesnt get dealt earlier, obviously, as the Knicks are reportadly in discussions for Garnett. However, I think the aforementioned package is much better than anything NY can put together..

That would be good but it's not going to happen. Besides I'd rather see Marybury and Garnett reunite in NY

But this time with even having VC I'd prob be more happier.

NY just traded Penny, so that trade they had rumored for KG wont work..The Nets can offer a much better package and would be a better fit for him..Oh and by the way I didnt just pull this out of my <Censored>, it comes from YES Network.com. RJ would be the main component and the reason it would happen in the offseason is because RJ loses his BYC status allowing contracts to match up.."The Nets will make a run at Kevin Garnett in the summer when Richard Jefferson is no longer a base-year compensation player."http://www.yesnetwork.com/nets/news.asp?news_id=1674<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (NeTs15VC @ Feb 22 2006, 05:22 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I bet KG doesnt want to be a NY Knicks member with the way there going but having KG with the Nets is like a dream man, If that happens I'd be so happy like the day we got VC.
