The Nets won their second game of a back to back tonight improving to 30-23 on the season. Tonight they matched up against an Orlando team that was undermanned with Jameer Nelson, Grant Hill and Hedo Turkoglu all inactive due to injury problems. The team also faced further difficulties due to the Steve Francis trade that took place today. Although Orlando faced some adversity with some key players absent from the lineup, they played hard behind the performance of Dwight Howard, Keyon Dooling and Carlos Arroyo and made this game into a hard fought contest that ended up going down the wire. Orlando shot a blistering 64% in the first half and managed to build up a double digit lead. The Nets roared back, however, with efforts from Vince Carter (22 pts, 9 rebs), Jason Kidd (28 pts, 11 asts, 7 rebs) and Richard Jefferson (23 pts, 8 rebs). Clutch free throws by Kidd and Carter iced the game for the Nets as they improved to 14-1 at home since mid-December, the Nets are now 7-3 in their last 10 and have won 2 in a row since the all-star break. Lawrence Frank, with this win, is now 3 away from his 100th victory as Nets coach, he would be the third head coach to do so, Byron Scott being the most recent. A solid home victory for the Nets over a hungry Orlando team that came out and played well. The Nets now look ahead to Friday in a matchup with the New York Knicks across the river in the Garden.Player of the Game- Jason Kidd- 28 pts (10/13 fg, 4/6 3pt), 11 asts, 7 rebs, 3 stlsBox Score- http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=260222017Next Game- Friday, February 24th at New York
