Man, I sure hope that they keep today's lineup, it seems to have worked good (except for the underperforming Bynum). Ariza starting, Radman coming of the bench. Luke out with an inflamed toe.
Yup yup. Good win tonight against the Blazers. They came out red hot in the first half, but we tightened up after the second and just ran away with the game (although they didn't have Roy). Bynum wasn't too much offensively, but defensively, he did a good job bodying Oden and staying in front of him. The difference of Gasol on Oden, and Bynum on Oden was pretty obvious. He did good defensively and was active around the boards. Good to see. He actually looked like he cared today (probably because he was motivated).
I think Bynum's problem is the team doesn't give him the ball when he has good position, but when he has bad position he seems to get the ball a lot. I think Drew is in good position he just needs to demand the ball. He needs to be more assertive and call out Fisher, Sasha, and Kobe when they go away from him. Defensively, for the most part, he has looked good all year. Only recently has he looked horrible offensively.
I'm not too concerned about Bynum offensively. I think he doing what needs to be done. Anchoring the defense. box out, get the boards, put backs, and blocks. We have a ton of offense. Bynum's presence alone makes a huge difference and I hope he understands that. He can't be a superstar with Kobe and Gasol on the same team.
He's been a good presence defensively, but for the past couple of games, his rebounding has been down. He also hasn't looked interested or motivated either, but tonight was different. He was focused. We need more of that from Bynum. Defense and rebounding is all I ask for, offense will come, and honestly, it really isn't that important right now with the pieces we have on the roster. *edit - good post Trench
Woooo! Fuck the Celtics...now its their forum with the "the sky is falling so we must make moves" threads! Winning cures all...especially threads calling out players/coaches! :dancewookiee:
