Last 3 i agree with. Harrison is on there, he get held on almost every play. DeMarcus Ware probably for me. Ed Reed would be on my list but I'm Steelers biased

It is so hard to shrink the list down to 5. Leaving off Polamalu is difficult.

I agree with Mamba 100% actually. Polamalu is tough to leave off but i actually believe Amousgha is the best defender in the NFL.

He is by far the best CB in the league.

Reed is on my list because he plays like a WR and his nose for the end zone is incredible. I think that is his only advantage over Polamalu.

You left off Reed and Harrison, therefore your list fails. Ray Lewis? Maybe about 5 years ago. He is still good, but not top 5 talent anymore.

It is also hard to leave Patrick Willis off the list.

Well the crux of the defense comes from the D-Line and rushing the passer. I don't know if I can rank a corner/safety over one of those elite D-Ends or Hybrid 3-4 LBs.

    2. Ed Reed
    3. Albert Haynesworth
    4. Julius Peppers
    5. Patrick Willis

If I was picking a D, I'd take these guys in this order, I was looking at how dominating and healthy they have shown to be.

    Ed Reed
Polamalu ( instead of Harrison, Harrison needs to have another couple if seasons to prove it to me)
    D. Ware
    Ray Lewis
Justin Tuck (homer pick :) )

    Either D-Ware, Harrison, or Haynesworth.
