I agree with the premise of the thread (see, Simon? It occasionally happens!). Oden, especially in the first half, was very very open flashing into the paint and the team never got him the ball.

Roy struggled at finding him. LA is struggling to find him.

It's confusing to me. Maybe he's not as open as he seems?

There was a play last night where Gasol was fronting Oden and there was no one behind them and Aldridge had the ball at the top of the key. It seemed like all it would have taken was a simple lob pass over Gasol and Oden would be in position for an easy dunk.

I think Aldridge passed back to to Blake/Sergio.

This is garbage! If we can make an entry pass to Roy when guarded, we can do it for Oden who's 7 freaking feet tall! Oden and LA need to be setting picks for each other in the low post. There is no defense for that, both can pass out of the double, and the cutters would then be free for easy back door buckets.High pick and roll isn't working and the other teams know that's our play.

Our team should be focusing on INSIDE OUT! ODEN,LA makes ROY, RUDY AND BLAKE happen. You can't have your big men standing around and just expect them to turn it on. Doesn't work that way.

Come on they don't stand around they come out to the 3pt line and set a pick and then roll 23' from the basket which is of course going to be wide open because the other team has no idea what is happening.........;) Hate that play, shit just feed Oden and LMA on the block and let them go to work. If the other team doubles kick it out to our guys that can't penetrate......but can at least shoot.

Is it just me, or has the sarcasm on this board been through the roof as of late?

Opening nite we tried to pound it in to Oden and it turn out really bad. So we went the opposite way, but now that he is playing much better we should start to try to go to him more often. Include it in the game plan.

Speaking of PGs that got the center the ball off the pick and roll, how bout Damon? :)

To be a little fair to Nate, he played with guys like Benoit Benjamin, Sam Perkins, Aaron Williams, Steve Scheffler, etc. and coached guys like Jerome James and Przy. He probably doesn't know that centers are allowed to play offense.

I've been saying this for at least a month now. Oden has been wide open and we're simply not finding him. We need a point guard.
