Well deserved. He had 22 of the 50 votes. Ware was second with 13 votes. Manning was named MVP right before the Charger game, and we beat him. Now Harrison is named DPOY, and we will beat him!
I would've given it to Ware. He had one of the better seasons by a defensive player in recent years, but I'm guessing Dallas' overall suckiness worked against him. Harrison is not a bad choice, though.
Ware was in the same situation Rivers was. Rivers should have won that MVP award, but when you're 8-8 nobody is going to vote for your team. Ware had a monster season, but that Cowboys' defense still fucking sucked. Harrison had a monster year, and his team's defense was monster as well. I don't think you can make a legit argument for Ware being more deserving of this award than Harrison.
leading the league in forced fumbles helps. not to mention, harrisons sacks resulted in more lost yardage than wares even though he got more. harrison led the league in yardage lost on sacks. nuff said.
