well it basically backs up what ive been getting killed for on here.

    - neither of our backup PGs are anything to worry about losing....i think they both blow but id rather keep bayless at this point.

    - outlaw is complete trash. 6 years and still has no clue. outlaw will always be the type of player included in a deal where hes gonna be a filler for teh rest of taht season on a bad team. he will have his games where the fans think they have a stud until the next time he plays.

    - our backup power forwards are a joke (ike and frye)

    - looks like the blazers know that its playoffs or bust for this team. THANK GOD

    - and i always wondered why we tarded jack for bayless. how handy would jack be right now?

you claim that outlaw blows and neither of our backup PGs are worth anything yet you would love to have Jjack back? that's the definition of lunacy. outlaw is better than jack and bayless is a JJ clone with a higher ceiling.

who cares about making the playoffs this season? if they make it great but i'd rather not make a kneejerk trade just to make the playoffs and kill our chances of adding a player we NEED in the future.

No, you're wrong. If MIXUM says we need a trade, we NEED a trade.

Who is out there? There is one guy I'd love to have, but I think he could be had via free agency this summer. Andre Miller. I think he'd be perfect for this team. I wouldn't want to trade for him.

There is no mention of a "veteran" in that quote. Foye is already in his third year, and will be 26 this Spring. He's almost a year older than Brandon and is having a pseudo breakout season averaging 15pts and 5 assists. Mind you, his PER has been steadily declining since his rookie year, but I still think he's better than Blake.

why are so many blazer fans obsessed with under achieving players with potential? havent we had enough already? um, outlaw, sergio, russina kids, bassy, HA, prob bayless. CAN WE PLEASE GET SOME PROVEN PLAYERS FOR ONCE? My god if we miss teh playoffs this year...another project will be heading our way. And dont tell me we will trade that pick...ive heard that for 2 straight summers. KP will use it and miss like bayless pick. Other teams seem to find solid players late...we find long term projects on a team who cant make teh post season as it is.

I'd like to see Kirk Hinrich or Ramon Sessions come to P-town in a trade. Both know how to play the pick-and-roll and seems to be realistic targets.

Well I know that you and Colin Cowherd can probably tell if a rookie is any good by watching him run down the court one time, but I think KP looks at things a little more in depth. I liked JJ too but he was not going to be the starting PG long term. We will all see in 2 years who was right. In the mean time Bayless will take his lumps because he is not yet ready. But most of us knew he would struggle this year. Either way I think he has more long term value than JJ.

    Knicks blog. :biglaugh:

Could there possibly be a "source" with less insight into Portland's thinking than a NY'er?

    I really don't think so.

I was thinking we could throw in RLEC and get Spike Lee.

Is this a surprise to anyone? After all the Travis for Mike Conley rumors I figure there's gotta be some fire under that smoke somewhere.

Conditional? Why? I'd leave it unprotected. They can have him.

I like Ramon Sessions a lot. I like Bayless alot also. I think we should give him a try as a starter once Roy gets back for a couple games and see how he does. If we don't like what he does, maybe it can be a showcase of sorts.

I also really like someone like Monta Ellis.
