Probably prevented another treble. Also failed to award early BLATENT pen to United. Your Club's Worst Gaffe Of 2008 Few stupid losses e.g. v Zenit and played poorly v Arsenal and Liverpool this season. But I'd go with loss to City at home on anniversary of Munich. The Revs were on the way down from the end of the Super Liga, but that was the final nail in the coffin of the Revs' season. Your Club's Worst Gaffe Of 2008 - Not entirely sure what else this team could have done. It was the deepest team the Revs have had and all things seemed to be clicking early on. Injuries killed this team though as Taylor Twellman missed nearly half the season and Steve Ralston was out for the playoffs. Joseph was playing with various injuries all season and was still the best midfielder in MLS. What drove the team early on was the attacking play of the Gambians, Nyassi and Mansally, but they missed significant time as well. There's a lot to build on here for next season as Twellman and Ralston should be healthy. The team was dominant early in the season with the attacking runs of Nyassi and Mansally to go with Mauricio Castro's strong play on the left and Ralston pulling the strings in an attacking midfield position. Joseph will be back patrolling the area behind Ralston and Kheli Dube will be back and looking to build on his surprising 08 season. The main question mark will be replacing Michael Parkhurst who was simply brilliant throughout his Revs career. Gabriel Badilla and Jeff Larentowicz seem to be the main choices to join a back line that includes Chris Albright and Jay Heaps.
