attention whore is an interesting phrase. a regualar whore trades sex for money. It seems clear that the 'attention' part corresponds to money - that is, the attention whore is seeking attention like a whore seeks money. But what is the attention whore trading in return for attention? Certainly not sex. But it must be something desirable, or the attention Johns wouldn't pay for it with attention. barfo
I was saying the same thing during the NFL regular season. Maybe not more injuries overall, but certainly more injuries to big name players than usual. Seems like the NBA may be in a similar situation.

Anthony isn't nearly as critical to that team as Billups, but if he is out for an extended period of time it will only help Portland. Then again they have a GM who isn't affraid to make a significant trade during the season, so they will probably go out and get David Lee.
