Lets get this forum back to the peak activity it once was. Try and invite as many soccer/football fans you know. Everyone should post an article every now and then, its pretty simple. Take an important quote from the article, link it, and perhaps an image to go along with it. Lets start 2009 with a bang!
I really hope we can get this active. Because every football forum I go on it's either lame or people don't know shite about football. And this place is VERY different the football supports here are awesome and you guys don't talk about lame stuff. And you guys actually know your football which is another plus. So yeah I hope we can make this place active.
I think there was a significant down-turn in activity when some posters started assuming that the American posters don't know anything and started bashing the American game. Just an observation.
Because no one is invalidating your opinion because you're from the UK. You can say something somewhat ridiculous and the response will be to what you say because you're from Reading, UK. If I'm from Reading, Massachusetts and I say the same thing, I'm a stupid American who knows nothing about the game.
I want people to invalidate my opinion, so it shouldn't be different for Americans. This is a message forum where you come to debate, if we all agreed, and we were all Arsenal fans, I wouldn't post here.
People can invalidate my opinion based on how they disagree with it. That's no problem. Its when its invalidated because I'm American that its an issue. A post like this (that you replied to with a +1) is what I am talking about. A note for the Yanks? Seriously? Where was that post when M21 started the main thread about the competition?
Its true. Nobody does care about the WCC. Even if Arsenal won it, I would be happy, but winning the Carling Cup would be better to me.
To be honest, that pretty much means you're an idiot, lol. You would rather see your team win the 3rd most respected trophy than become World Champions? Granted, it is probably easier to win the World Club Cup (once you get there) than the Carling Cup, but even so, it's more of an achievement to win the World Club Cup than the Carling Cup, due to the entire journey.
It seems like the activity stopped somewhat suddenly. People stopped posting stories and people stopped checking in. I'll get back to posting stories whenever I have time.
Don't worry about it. Lets start posting some articles. I'm sure you can find some on Madrid Bomba & Claud. I'll try my best for the EPL, but I need other people's help.
