Can we call it a draw? Bulls up by 2 with a minute left. Not exactly the sort of win to make me forget about the recent spate of crappy play.

I'm pretty sure you're going to suffocate if you keep holding your breath waiting for this team to be good.

How many years do you give Paxson?

I really have no problem with Paxson. This is the first year he's had a player good enough to build around as opposed to piecing together an ensemble cast.

Out of all his lotto picks, 3 have really turned out, and one of those is LaMarcus Aldridge.

The accumulation of $20M or more in cap space, to be used to sign Ben Wallace and Adrian Griffin was a real coup.

I'd like to subtract a couple. Is that possible?

Maybe Tyrus would actually be a useful defensive player playing next to Tyson Chandler. Instead of paying Chandler, we're currently paying Larry Hughes and basically let Duhon go for nothing.

The big contracts Paxson actually signed players to - Hinrich, Deng, and Noc - see to have hamstrung us as well.

Tyrus put together another good game, but should probably have had more rebounds. Thabo was solid. Rose dominated at times. I don't think things are quite as bad as they seemed a few days ago.

Over Thabo, sure. With Kirk out, sure.

Over Thabo? How's that even relevant? People talk about Thabo possibly being a point forward some day, but he doesn't play enough to do that. So why even mention that. How about over BG, he was the third pg before Hunter showed up.

If we could get a big man who clogs up the lane with good interior defense, Tyrus becomes a lot more valuable. Right now, we don't have a defensive anchor. Thomas isn't a defensive anchor, just a complementary defensive player, so our interior defense still looks weak, despite Thomas being a pretty solid defensive player.

You mean like Ben Wallace, before he turned into the corpse? I thought that was one of Pax's big mistakes....

Thabo's going to be a point forward someday, and ERob was going to be great, too. And Tyrus for that matter.

Show me. Haven't shown much at all.

On the bright side, the sideline reporter before the game said that Paxson is trading a guard for a big man.

Although, they interviewed Paxson before the game, and he said nothing of that regards, so I don't know what changed since then.
