Hmmmm, to me, Bargs doesnt make sense in Dallas. JO would make more sense, Dallas is an older team and probably want to win now and Bargs doesnt really give them that.

That seems like a crummy trade all around.

dallas starting to rebuild, kidd expires this offseason, and dealing howard and diop opens up a bunch of cap room. wait......that doesnt match up salarywise at all does it?

I don't see Dallas doing this trade.

Maybe in the offseason, when Kidd is gone (?), and they are officially rebuilding.

    But not now.

I've always been a Josh Howard fan, even though he has some issues, but maybe getting Diop back makes this deal a little better. I'd do it. But this is the first time I have seen it, I may change my mind.

This doesn't necessarily mean that Dallas is looking to rebuild. Parker and Bargnani will be able to contribute to a Dallas playoff team.

To be honest, I'm surprised Howard hasn't flourished with Kidd. Maybe because his head hasn't been on straight for some time now. He's kept himself from adjusting to Kidd.

Doug Smith did pretty much deny this at every end in his blog this morning.

As a Dallas fan who thinks they should move Josh Howard, I would not want this trade. At worst, Josh Howard is still a servicable scorer and borderline star. What Dallas would lose in Josh Howard cannot be replaced by Anthony Parker or Bargnani. Also, Dallas has Dirk, so why bring in a similar player? I can not see Bargnani starting at center, so he would be stuck behind Dirk, Dampier and Diop. Yes, Dallas will play Diop before putting Dirk and Bargnani in at the same time together because if that happened, there would be no post defense whatsoever.

I wouldn't give Bargs for Howard, but I would give JO, Graham and a draft pick. I don't know if that works out, but keeping Bargnani and Bosh is a must. Just build around those too.

Bryan Colangello will not give up on Bargnani at this point. He will soon become the starting Center and it seems that Jermaine O'Neal will be a 22 million dollar role player on this team. the most likely trades will involve Jason Kapono or Jermaine O'Neal as both are awful contracts and neither will be as valued as they are now.
