    G-B-G Minutes:

    14, 16, 20, 19, 26, 16, 11, 10, 11, 7, 22, 17, 17, 23, 11, 6, 6, 11, 14, 4, 6, 4, 8, 5, 10, 5, 10, 5, 6, 10

Problem is, he hasn't taken advantage of them. At this point, the onus is on nobody but himself to "play" his way back into the regular rotation.

I don't want/need to hear anything more about how this is somehow Nate's fault for not getting Channing into games.

I don't think I've heard a single person even imply it's Nate's fault. Channing has been terrible this season and everyone seems aware of it. I personally hope he gets over the slump, but he's getting the minutes he deserves currently (or maybe even too many).

OK, perhaps I'm just over-reacting from other boards and e-mails.

    As you were. :)

It's so weird, but thinking about Channing's play out there has me wondering, that perhaps we are just utilizing him wrong. Sure he's been sucking-ass in his play, but everyone always says hes an LMA mini, or clone, or whatever, just softer.

Is that even his game? I never knew who Channing was before he came over to PDX, so, I'm just wondering if we should be running different plays for him then just outside shooting kick-outs...

Channing has always been a jump shooter from what I know.

Lest we forget, this is the same Channing Frye who was a starter on the Knicks, then demoted behind David Lee, then eventually traded to Portland.

It seems to me it is about confidence. Channing is not one of those guys who when he starts missing, can just keep shooting and shoot his way out of it. Once he start missing, he starts making other mistakes, usually the first being passing up shots he should take. That hurts the whole flow of the offense. Guys get 3 second calls because they think he is going to shoot, or end up taking a forced shot against the shot clock. Once he seems to loose it mentally, he loses it mentally on the defensive end as well.

It's almost like his game is built the opposite of what it should be. Use your defense to get you into a flow in offense. He is almost the opposite. If his shot isn't falling, no part of his game is.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Yup, going back to college. As I recall, Loren Woods sometimes played in the post, but Frye was basically always a jump shooter.
