Fighting while under suspension isn't taken lightly by the CSAC (California State Athletic Commission) or the NSAC (Nevada), and its what Antonio Silva did by competing at the recent Sengoku event in Saitama. The CSAC urged him not to compete while he was still suspended for a positive steroids test, including sending him a strongly worded letter discouraging him from participating in Sengoku. He went ahead anyways and now the CSAC commission is going to meet to consider revoking Silva's fighting license in the US. Silva's camp has fought the suspension unsuccessfully, using the "he didn't know there were steroids in his supplements" argument as well as the "erroneous testing methodology and results" argument, also known as the Sean Sherk defense. They claim he fought in Japan because he needs a revenue source to pay his excessive monthly medical bills for his pituitary gland condition. According to an interview with Tatame, a Brazilian glossy, they are willing to pack up shop and go permanently to compete in Japan (where they don't drug test) should the CSAC come down hard on them. Silva's manager and handlers/corner men are also subject to suspension over the incident.
Jesus.. fucking put a warning sign on the thread when your going to put a picture of him up. When I see his face I feel he should be like 7 foot 9 or something.
