This is a real tough question that I had seen on a other board a little while back, and it just came up in my head as I was reading Slam. The question is, which would you rather give up, playing basketball, or watching it.For me, I could just not decide. I love playing the game, and just couldn't imagine not being able to play. Then on the other hand, I think I would lose a little bit of love for the game if I were not able to watch the Kobes and Tmacs play there game. I am completely torn between the two, what do you guys think?
This is really hard. I can't decide (although when I get old, I think my age will decide for me and I will only be able to watch basketball). I would prolly rather play it because if I could only watch it, I would get depressed and be wishing I could play all the time. Besides, let's pretend you made it to the NBA. who needs to watch the NBA if you are in it. This is prolly breaking the rules, but if you were playing basketball, you could watch it during film sessions .

Because if it was either give up watching or playing, id give up playing because i dont even play basketball right now, lol, and im not that good so id rather watch it. But if i had actual skill, and a shot at the pros or college, then id give up watching it.
Wouldn't playing basketball also require watching basketball? This is a double edged sword type question.
I like both, but the NBA can get boring at times and I don't want to get even more out of shape then I am so I would give up watching before playing but I would miss it.
hahahaha watching it is fun. sure. but i love this game. i love playing it.i'd definately drop watching it. i make my own higlight reel baby.
Well, considering i have no future in basketball, i'd probably choose watching it, although it would be VERY tough to stop playing. Actually, i have no clue what i'd do. Does this mean stop playing organized basketball or just any basketball period? If it's just organized, it would make it easier, but i don't know.

I'd easily give up playing it, I rarely play it as it is and other then rebounding and blocking shots have no skill at it.
Hard question. I love playing the game, and I can't contain myself when I see Wade on the top 10. I wouldn't be able to give up either.
I'd give up watching it, because as much as I love watching the best of the best play, actually playing in a game is an incredible feeling. Everyone here who plays basketball knows that the day after you have a good game, you feel good, people greet you more, its a feeling that cannot be replicated.I'd play for the rest of my life if I could
I would rather give up playing basketball. After high school, college basketball doesnt have my name writen on it. So after this year is over all I can do it watch
