http://www.latimes.com/sports/basketball/nba/lakers/la-sp-lakeweb9-2009jan09,0,864795.story He had a nice block yesterday, but I'm not sure about giving him a chance right now. He obviously has a long way to go. I'd rather us just leave him in the D-League to develop and sign a vet to play 4 or 5 minutes a game. He needs to get faster and stronger or other point guards will just kill him when they get the opportunity. He also needs to calm down a bit, he seems very nervous whenever he steps onto the court. With that being said though, potential is there. Just not now.
He is very hesitant to just go out there and just play. He is thinking too much right now and I can understand that the triangle is very difficult to learn, plus it doesn't help when he is new to the NBA with his shoddy english. He is too slow for now, but I guess, on the court they could match him with the slower guard and have the other person on the court guard the faster guard. That block yesterday was nice, unfortunately he was the only one back really, so they got an easy putback.
i beleive having another veteran on this team woulld greatly improve us, i just get this feeling that if we had a good, solid leader like fisher (someone widely respected) on the bench behind some of these younger talents, that it would push them to be better, and give more guidence for players like famar. joe smith would be awesome, give pau a solid back up, plus be a guide for kids like powell, bynum. chris mihm is meant to be this player, but he cant, its not in him.
