I think it would be nice if we could sticky a thread for the playoff race. Updating of what all the other teams in the race are doing on a nightly basis. For instance, Knicks are up against Dallas 75-68 in the 3rd right now San Antonio is up against the Clippers by 7 entering the 4th. If Dallas loses we will have identical records. They have a tough schedule coming up in the next five games against Phoenix, Denver and New Orleans. Denver's next 5 games are against Detroit, Dallas, Phoenix, Orlando and Houston We have it easy our next 5 are against Golden St, Chicago, Philly, New Jersey and Charlotte Time for us to gain some ground.
Re: Playoff Race Bad news all around, Dallas and San Antonio both won. One silver lining, we have the Clippers' second round pick, so every loss by them gives us a better draft pick.
Re: Playoff Race Denver playing Detroit tonight. Sheed and Rip still out in this one, Detroit down early 27-17. Houston up by 8 against the Thunder late in the 3rd. New Orleans about to beat the Clips. Dallas and Phoenix tonight, a loss for either team will be beneficial for us, but a Dallas loss would put us at a tie with them in the loss column.
Re: Playoff Race I think it would be better for us if Phoenix lost so that they'd be further behind us in the standings and playoff race.
Re: Playoff Race It should be noted Denver LOST tonight! Yippy.. but it'll seem to get lost in the madness of today. And also Boston lost AGAIN... hahahaha. We are now 2.5 games back behind Denver, but we just have one more loss than them. Denver 25-13 -- Portland 21-14 2.5 Utah 21-15 3
Re: Playoff Race Yeah, the loss column is what really matters, we control our own destiny as far as making up the extra wins. In other news, the Hornets blew out the Clippers. I'd rather have the Hornets lose, but, again, at least we get the small consolation of getting a slightly better second round draft pick from the Clippers if they keep losing, by the way, we also have the second round pick of the Knicks, so we can root for them to lose as well. The Lakers barely beat the Pacers on a last second shot from Kobe. We won't be challenging for their playoff spot anytime soon, but every Blazer fan always roots for the Lakers to lose. The Rockets also barely beat the Thunder. One out of four overall, plus the Suns and Mavericks game where something good was bound to happen either way, not too bad.
Re: Playoff Race Thanks for the updates, It says something about the fight of this team squeaking out that win against the Pistons at home without Roy, when the Nuggets couldn't do it without Carmelo. Both teams played them without Rip or Sheed.

Re: Playoff Race Well, we only got one of the three games we cared about tonight, but at least it was the one we cared about most, and we now have a slightly better draft pick from the Knicks. Tomorrow, the teams to root for are the Clippers, Magic, Kings and Heat.
Re: Playoff Race Sigh... Portland, Utah and Houston win, none of the West playoff teams lose.... 1. LA Lakers | 29-6 (.829) | GB -- 0 2. San Antonio | 24-11 (.686) | GB -- 5 3.
