So I was looking at ESPN.com, and I saw there new trade machine. It's exactly like Real GM's trade checker, but it made me think about what we could get for Pierce. Now I am not saying I want to get rid of him, because I think thats the last thing we should do, but I thought it would be interesting if we all shared some trade ideas. So i'll start off...Boston Tradesaul PierceBoston Recieves:Rashard LewisRashard Lewis is not the player Pierce is, but could be more valuable for us as we go through the youth movement. Raw Lew is the deffinition of a mis match. Stick a wing on him, and he will shoot over the top of him all day. Put a big on him, and he will slash on him with ease. I love Lewis' style of play, and would deffinitly not mind him in green.Keep in mind, that I don't think if we were going to do this trade, it would be Lewis for Pierce straight up, but I think that those are the only two pieces of the trade worth mentioning at this point.
Don't like it, Rashard Lewis doesn't have the pressure game experience Pierce does. Lewis is good, don't get me wrong, but that would leave Boston a mess, Lewis would become our go to guy? I dunno, another trade that just doesn't seem enough for Paul Pierce.
Paul for Rashard. No way. We can't build our franchise around a jump shooter. He is talented, but he's a compliment. If we were talking Wally for Rashard, I'd do it, but no way i'm giving up Paul Pierce for a second tier player. He's not even the best on his team..
What if they threw in Ridnour or Evans, would you bite?BCB, if you don't like this thread, feel free to ignore it. You don't have to make posts saying that you don't like something.
Pierce for Lewis would've been one of the worst trades in Boston history. No knock against Lewis, but giving away Pierce for him is like cheating on your gorgeous girlfriend with a decent looking girl who'll guarantee you some good lays here and there. Seems nice short term, but bad long term.Ok, maybe not the greatest analogy but I had to think of something.
