I looked at it, and if I didn't travel so much I'd be interested. But the cell-phone modem I use now works all over the country, and Clearwire is only available in very limited areas so far. barfo

I had Clearwire with the old network. Poor reliability and signal strength, and pretty slow. I'm in Boise. I dumped it after a week. I might give them another look when 4G comes to my town. It's supposed to be the shit.

A friend of mine owns a business that installs some Clearwire spots in town for businesses. He's actually pretty impressed with it so far. Intel is one of the main backers of the technology and, according to him, Comcast just rebranded Clearwire for their on-the-go high speed internet claims.
