I'll agree that freshman and sophmore year he was a terrible defender, but now a days, he has turned into a great defender. He gives so much hustle on the defensive end, and simply will not back down from any challenge. He may not be quick, but he knows his angles SO well. Watch him play defense, he is such a great team defender. He knows how to force his guy either into a corner or into Shelden. Don't even tell me he's a weak defender, he has gotten SO much better.I think JJ will be a Kirk Hinrich with a much nasty jumper. He will be able to play either guard positions, but only if he is in the same backcourt as a good ball handler. He's not great in terms of getting the ball up the court and setting something up, but he has one great head on his shoulders. He's a smart guy that knows where and when to get his teammates the ball. He has nice court vision, and does not mind passing on a shot to set up a teammate.Aldridge will be best from this class.

He'll prove you wrong.and now you're saying JJ is your man? you were just dissing him earlier. you said that bc he was just a shooter, like Morrison (<-which is so untrue), that will have no success in the nba.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (nykfan4life @ Feb 26 2006, 07:31 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>i don't think either will amount to be good nba players. jj is one dimensional, although i would love it if the knicks picked him up. he should be a late first rounder. usually any player that the media talks about all season in college sucks in the nba or never lives up to the potential. look at bogut he's not that good and he's from utah which is the <Censored> capital of the world. i don't know anyone good that came out of utah. keith van horn or andre miller? yea pussies. anyway i don't care for morrison and he'll still be the number one pick because everyone in the media is <Censored> ridin him like everyone in the media is <Censored> riding kobe. it makes me sick cuz i don't think morrison is that good. the WCC is an awful conference. at least jj plays in the ACC which is loaded.</div>just reread this post and realized how terribly idiotic it was. Ever heard of Dwyane Wade? He was hyped in college, and he did even better than expected. Kirk Hinrich? Emeka Okafor? Ben Gordon? Carmelo Anthony? TJ Ford? I could go on and on, but i won't waste my time.
hahahahaha ok guy. they didn't ride wade and hinrich like they're riding morrison. they didn't ride tj ford, they all said he couldn't shoot and he really can't. these guys were good players in college but no one really thought wade would be as great as he is. and hinrich is an average player. you think he's great?yea i did say that about reddick but i like reddick and i never dissed him. i said he'd fit well with the knicks cuz they need a shooter like him. he has a better chance than morrison. reddick will be a better shooter than adam "i look like an ugly <Censored> cuz i don't shave my mustache" morrison.and carmelo anthony was supposed to be drafted out of high school instead of goin to cuse so everyone knew he was gonna be good.
You just proved my point. Dwyane Wade was expected to do good, and he even exceeded his expectations. I never said Hinrich was great. Where did you get that? He's solid, a good player. He by no means at all is bad, or like you would say, "sucks".And The knicks don't need another jumpshooter. They already have Q, Jalen Rose, Stephon. The last thing they need is a one-dimensional shooter.

jumpshooters don't have to be good shooters. You must've never heard me use that term before. These players have to have the ball in their hands to be effective, and they don't have to take it to the basket much. Rose is a midrange shooter. Stephon can take it to the basket, but he likes to shoot.
players like morrison are getting a little too much hype its only due to the weak class this year. Morrison will most definately be a good player in the league, he has all the tools you need. Redick could go either way, depending if his defense progresses a bit more and aldridge is almost a sure thing. To tell you the truth almost all the top prospects in this draft are being overhyped because at this point there are no standout players that have GREAT potential to become stars in the league. If any it would probably boil down to the top 3 aldridge redick and morrison that everyone is talking about but I like a couple other players like rajan rondo, who could go to a solid team like houston where he may be able to make a solid impact on there team. Another one I like is marco killingsworth, and no not just for his sweet last name lol, his inside game is really solid and his offensive skills are promissing at very least. overall, weak draft, couple possible stars but no serious potential for all star caliber players.
