Re: Nets Spoil Francis' Knick Debut The Nets spoiled the Knick debut of trade deadline acquisition Steve Francis in the Garden tonight with solid all around play. The Nets lead this one all the way through starting out with a 10-0 run and taking an early 20-4 lead. The Nets would stretch the lead to 21 and the play of Carter, Krstic, Jefferson and Kidd were too much for NY to handle. Krstic had a tremendous game, scoring 22 points and connecting on every one of his field goals, going 11 for 11 from the field. Jefferson chipped in with 27 points to compliment his 7 rebounds and 6 assists, and Carter helped out with his 26 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Jason Kidd had another solid game wtih 9 points, 9 assists, and 6 rebounds. This win moves the Nets up to 31-23 and with loses by Indiana and Cleveland, assists them in the standings. New Jersey has now won three straight since the all-star break and 4 in a row overall, improving to 13-16 on the road and expanding their lead in the Atlantic to 4 1/2 games over the idle Sixers. The Nets trail Miami by three games for the second best record in the East behind Detroit and face Indiana on Sunday at home for their next game.Player of the Game: Nenad Krstic-22 points (11-11 fgs), 5 rebs. Re: Nets Spoil Francis' Knick Debut Nenad was unstoppable. The Knicks defense paid too much attention to Kidd, Carter, and RJ that Nenad got several easy looks at the basket. And they werent layups, they were 20ft jumpshots.
Re: Nets Spoil Francis' Knick Debut Thats my boy. First game in front of Serbia and he has his best game yet. Hopefully they can get ESPN in Serbia for the playoffs.
