I was rooting for Chelsea on this one. Pretty good game.

I'm starting to feel bad for Tevez. He really deserves to be playing. Berbatov has been a spectacular bust.

Yeah, Tevez might be moving this summer.

Don't quite see how that's so - he had a goal and an assist v Chelsea, and that has been the story of his season - doesn't play particularly well for the 90 minutes but has enough quality that you can guarantee a couple of moments of brilliance a game which are often worth a goal. He has 4 goals and 7 assists in 17 games, which isn't awful, really. The difference between him an Tevez is Tevez's work rate and Berbatov's brilliance with the ball. Tevez has a dogged approach, but is less likely to just pull a moment of brilliance out of nowhere.

I agree, though, that Tevez should be playing more, especially given his partnership with Rooney last season, but Berbatov's brilliance should never be underestimated.

Maradona just instructed Tevez to get out of Manchester and at this point it is starting to sound like a foregone conclusion.

I just don't think Berbatov has done anything that Tevez couldn't have done given the same amount of playing time. I understand the need for a super sub like Tevez but so far it seems like they've gone and gotten themselves a player who overlaps with Rooney and Renaldo too much. I assumed they would be going for a pure finisher this past signing period and instead they got another playmaker. I still expect them to win England and repeat in the Champion's League but I suspect Sir Alex overthought this past offseason and forgot about what he already had in Tevez.

Same, IMO he is the best natural striker at United, yes overall Rooney is a bigger contributor to the team but it goes in terms of a raw forward

    1) Tevez
    2) Rooney
    3) Berba

I think Maradona is right, he should go to a team that would appreciate him, I can't think of a team in the world that wouldn't want him, and wouldn't start him.

Would he start for Bayren? Real? Barca? Arsenal? Chelsea? (k, last 2 are debatable).

Who would he replace on Bayren and Real? Or Arsenal?

Chelsea only plays w/ 1 striker/forward, and that guy is leading the EPL in scoring this campaign.

I have no idea about Bayern or Real, I just thought I'd go against your argument. :)

I believe that Adebayor would be replaced by Tevez. He has been absolutely shit recently - I can't even remember the last time he scored. The only reason Chelsea play a lone striker is because Scolari (or someone) is scared that Drogba and Anelka won't mix well.

Would Tevez pair well with Anelka? I think that Adebayor is a much more talented striker than Tevez.

Damn, I just typed a lot of shit, and pressed the back button. :(

I was trying to say, Adebayor is good at hitting in easy balls, whereas Tevez can create space for himself. I'm not saying I want Tevez over Adebayor, but I can see Wenger starting the Argentinian over him.

He would start if he came to Madrid, no doubt. But it is highly unlikely that we sign him now since we are loaded with fowards. Van Goal, Raul, Huntelaar, Saviola and Higuain.

Yeh I see your point ME, RVP is very much a similar player to Ade but he has more Finesse, we could do with a battler like him.

To be frank (who's Frank?), Adebayor has been abysmal recently. When was the last time he scored?
