Can he? I predicted that like a week after the draft, but then he didn't get PT. This is not a campaign, i'm just wondering if he has a shot. There are four spots for forwards on the all-rookie teams. I would think Danny Granger, Charlie Villanueva, and probably Marvin Williams would be ahead of him. It depends on if they count either Bogut or Frye as a Forward. They might do that to get them both on 1st team. If both of them are counted as Centers, i think Ryan has a shot. I'm not saying he'll make it, but he should atleast be considered.
if he keeps this play up he definately will be, his stats right now aren't really reflecting how well he has played because he got not PT until the past few weeks. I hope Doc continues to play Gomes, even when AL J and PERK get back. I know AL J is an important part of our future but Gomes should be too. I hope Gomes doesn't take the back burner when AL J returns
I think Perk and Al are expected bac tomorrow vs. Miami. Woohoo! And here's an interesting fact: Ryan Gomes has as many double-doubles in the last three games (3) as Channing Frye has all season. He's also only 6'7". That's impressive.
He needs to keep playing like this from here on out in order to get on the second team, if he slows down with the return of Al Jeff and Perk, then I don't see him making the team.
