No, not Kobe, not KG, not Rudy Gay, not JJ, not Morrison, not any pro or college basketball, but a high school player, not ANY high school player mind you, an AUTISTIC high school player. Sumbody going 6-10 from 3 in 4 minutes is crazy enough, but an AUTISTIC kid? Thats crazy, sumbody should give that kid a scholarship, <Censored>.damn, cant find a linkhttp://www.rnews.com/Story_2004.cfm?ID=350...=18&category=10
He is not a gurling mentally challenged kid, he's obviously a pretty decent basketball player. Just because your autistic doesn't mean you can't shoot a ball. I just don't like this story at all, he's getting all this hoopla over the fact that he has a mental problem and it gives people the impression that autistic kids are usually too dumb or physically inempt to do anything like this when it's completley untrue.
I saw the preview of this on my local news but didn't watch it. They showed it on TRL. Thats pretty cool that he got to play and scored 20 pts in 4 min. They should have played him more.

I mean no one can say they've ever known or seen an autistic person shoot a basketball with any success, letalone 20 in 4
It was his FIRST Varsity game ever. He obviously can't be stopped when hot, but wow he was "as hot as a pistol." I actually liked the story, even though it was a little overhyped.
Yea thats one of those cool basketball stories that you can tell to people and they will think its a movie..i mean..the kid was cold at the beggining..maybe it was just nerves...but then he was hittin them all night long.and scholarship...i dunno if he could handle college ball just because he got 20 in one game. They have to see how he is consistent first.
I once had 9 points in 3 minutes. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (YungAI03 @ Feb 28 2006, 08:14 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Yea thats one of those cool basketball stories that you can tell to people and they will think its a movie..i mean..the kid was cold at the beggining..maybe it was just nerves...but then he was hittin them all night long.and scholarship...i dunno if he could handle college ball just because he got 20 in one game. It was a great game for him, but it wasnt much more then a shooting drill, the team had the game won and everyone on the team was trying to get him shots. He took every shot almost of those 4 minutes, and did you see the defense, If i was playing him(even though i'm a bad basketball player) I would have at least blocked 2-3 of those shots with how small he is. They werent bodying on him at all, at least 3-4 away from him without their hands up. Bad defense, but I guess somewhat impressive. Although in a real game I'd doubt he'd score more then 6 per 30 mins even in high school.
