How many less fouls per game would Oden get if Hinrich and Nocioni were on our team?

Both of them are scrappy defensive minded players that would benefit this team so much.

I'd take both, but that's a lot of cash going out to two guys who, in 2011 would make 18M or so to be our 9th and 10th guys.

They are both slow for their positions and I think they're at least as easy to beat off of the dribble as the Blazers' current players at those positions.

Oden is going to learn how to stop fouling so much or he's not. I don't think it's realistic to expect to put defenders out there to protect him from fouling.

Other than Rose, the Bulls have a bunch of really nice role players. I can't believe how much time we have spent drooling over the chance of trading for Deng, Nocioni, Hinrich, Gordon etc etc etc. Again all nice players, but not worth the energy we have spent in the last 2-3 years. Talk about a case where "the grass is greener".

It's because we assumed they'd all progress as players with age. They haven't and in some cases have regressed.

You think Nocioni is a scrappy defender? He never guards his assignment, and goes and double teams someone else, hacking a lot.

Hinrich looked really good defensively tonight, and had a lot of energy. He might be able to return to his 2006-2007, All Defensive Team form.

But Nocioni hasn't been a good player since 2005-2006. The Bulls went on a tear in 2006-2007 after Nocioni got injured.

I didn't get to see the game, but who guarded Roy?

    3-13, 4-4 FT, 8 REB, 3 AST, 3 TO, 3 of his shots blocked, 11 points.

Roy was just off. He was missing wide open jumpers. I don't think it was a matter of defense. He also seemed really tentative on offense. The guy just came back from an injury so I'm not really worried about it.

Hinrich looked good on defense, but his offense was really rusty. He hit a three, but you could tell that he hasn't played in a really long time. I wouldn't judge him too much based on last night. That was his first game back. I'm going to be curious to see how he does over the next couple weeks.

I thought about Roy's injury, too, but he had a good game the game before the Bulls one...

Yeah, I don't know how to explain it DC... His shot was just off. He did miss a few at the rim though. I think he was expecting more calls. He got hammered a couple times, but the refs let it play on. I didn't get to watch the Golden State game so I can't tell you how it would compare to last night. Hinrich was on him for a bit though.

Actually it was Ben Gordon who did the best job defensively on BRoy last night. (IMO) At least in the first half.
