I bet Sergio could find a way to play worse defense.

Bayless at least and drove to hoop and got some nice buckets.

Why let facts and the truth get in the way of a good ol' fashion, clueless rant???

I agree Oden was having a great game and keep the Blazers in the game in the first half. I would like to see Oden back in but I doubt Nate will put him in now.

He did not outplay anyone. He did not even slow down his opponent. He did not help his teammates score. He caused Joel to get 2 fouls. The Blazers were outscored by 6 while he was in.

One of the low points of the game.

Fair enough. Gooden is pretty good offensively... he certainly overpowered Aldridge and was hittin jumpers over Oden tonight. If you could combine Gooden's offense with Thomas's defense, you'd have a pretty good power forward.

    Can you blame him?

Bayless is Jarrett Jack all over again.

Again, you don't appear to be watching the same game as everyone else.

He entered 71-59. He exited 83-75.

That's a 4 point swing, not 6. Further, two of those points were from Deng free throws from a foul that occurred before Bayless entered.

More truth. Although they're both space cadets, so I don't know that Thomas is really a good defender. When he's into it he's a good shotblocker. He's got like 3 boards in 30 minutes though. He still thinks he's a 3.

Bayless has too much talent to rot on the bench... who are you guys going to trade.

Actually after we lost a lot of our lead it was Bayless play that got us our lead back.

Re: Blazers @ Chicago Game Thread

Honestly, the team doesnt look like they have a direction.
I am not a fan of the multiple subs...no need for Hughes to play when Thabo and Kirk and Deng and Noc are available.
Gooden is much better than remebered.
Your centers are a travesty. Noah and Gray, no offense but wow.
Tyrus looks like he could be a Chris Anderson type player as long as he can stay committed and focussed and thats not a knock, every team needs high energy players.
Rose will be a stud, but really needs work on the jumper and have better teammates to work off of as well :)
I think BG would be more effective if you used him like the Pistons use Rip, just run the shit out of him off of curls and screens.
If you can, find takers for Deng, Kirk, and Noc..they just have not progressed like they could have..just build around Rose and make smart moves via the draft and don't take on long contracts. A elite PG can do wonders.

But who's got more upside? I mean, if I were a contender like the Celtics, I might take your grandma. You know... if I needed to win games in the playoffs.

If I were headed for the lottery and building for the future though, I'd have to go with Tyrus.
