-Cromartie played the whole year with a fracture in his hip.

-In the Playoff game against the Steelers, Quentin Jammer suffered a partial tear in his hamstring.

-Rivers and Big Jamal Williams were Co-MVP's of the team.

-Ron Rivera will interview for the HC position of the Lions.

That explains a lot about Cromartie this year. Time to heal up boys! Next year we've got Merriman! Hopefully Cro returns to form opposite of Jammer. I'm fucking excited.

Maaaaaaan I felt bad for the Chargers in the Steelers game.. could they have had any more bad breaks! The 2 that stick out in my mind is the deflected pass for an INT right after the big kick of return and the ball bouncing off the blockers head during the kick return. After seeing those 2 plays, you knew there was no way in Hell the Chargers were winning this game.

    Great year by Rivers though.

I gotta wonder if LT is D-U-N cause it sure seems like it. RB's never 'bounce back' in their 30's and LT will be 30 next season.
I guess they'll platoon LT and Sproles, which seems like the smart thing to do. It works well for so many teams.. and really fucks up a lot of Fantasy Football teams :D

The great news is, I don't see anyone in their division improving significanlty enough to challenge them if they're relatively healthy.

The Chargers got hot late in the season to even make the playoffs, and had a great win in the opening round of the playoffs. Though I was rooting for the Chargers to go all the way, I was pretty sure they had it pretty easy in the opening round and whichever team they faced in the 2nd round was going to beat them like a rug. So I'm not surprised they lost. Good things to build on for next season, though, I hope.

People around here were really excited. Chargers jerseys were worn by about 1/3 of the people I saw for a few days. Gametime, the bars had lines outside waiting to get in to cheer on the team. Sadly, it went from "go bolts!" to "no bolts" in a hurry :(

I forgot you moved down to SD Denny. How you liking it?

There is talk of LT being cut because of his contract, but I think they'd be stupid to cut him. I don't think Sproles can be an every down back, but I would like for us to mix him into the offense more. I think with Sproles we can have a RB who can carry some of the load and make things happen, just not all of it. It'll be interesting to see what we do. I think our biggest needs are an inside LB, a SS, and some help on the right side of the offensive line.

So Sproles won't command too large a contract?

How's that cap space looking then? ;]

Just wondering Mamba, would you rather have LT and maybe sign a backup RB in free agency, or have both Turner and Sproles as a 1-2 punch.

(just assuming Sproles becomes to expensive)

Yeah I meant if he could choose one, would he rather have had them trade LT and keep Turner and Sproles together, or keep LT, lose both and sign a random backup RB?

Just hypothetically speaking. Sproles could be back and I'm sure most people didn't think he could play at such a high level.

You mean if it were last year's off-season right? Well of course you keep Turner since he has fresher legs at this point in his career. It is tough to be a RB around 30 nowadays.
