Wafer is a great NBA player. He is the sole reason the Rockets beat the Celtics last week.

Yao was the underdog even though the officials threw it too low.

lol dunno wtf Yao was thinking on that last play.

Good win tonight on the road, Wafer and the Rockets played really well, to win this one, I think was really great.

Kobe was ehhh until the closing minutes, he came through again. I still cringed when he shot that long 3 at the end, but when it goes on, we have no choice but to just shut up and enjoy it.

Not gonna complain because I've come to the conclusion that this team cannot fully focus for every single game on our schedule.

Wins a win so I'll take it, but WAAAAAAAY too close. Pau has to step up. He was invisible today and didn't do anything.

When are we going to start blowing out teams like the CAVs do? Man, Kobe can't bail us out all season long!!!

A win is a win, I'll take it. I think Lakers' fans have expectations that are too high. You do realize that we've got some key injuries right now, right.

Yeah, plus we play down to competition all the time. (Rockets were without T-Mac and Artest)

I still think we should be able to blow out opponents. Hell the Cavs blow them up sub .500 or elite. Lebron takes every game the same way.

So does Kobe, but teams play their best ball against us. I don't think teams get up for the Cavs like they do against us. Along with the Celtics, the Lakers are the leagues most famous franchise. We're always good and we've had many years of greatness. It is frustrating to see us squeak by teams like this, but I think it has to do with the teams we play having some extra motivation against us.

The defense was frustrating to watch.

Kobe was clutch again in the fourth, the rest of the game was...bleh.

I wanna see ESPN and NBA blow up our Lakers vs Cavs game. If the Cavs win against our depleted asses, you can expect alot of shit talking about us. lol

    LOL that sums it up!

I still dont know what i'd prefer... an efficient night by kobe and lakers easily win or a really bad night by kobe but he hits the dagger LOL

I think we need both types of games... and hopefully we keep on winning them

My 10 thoughts on the game last night.

    1. Where the hell was this version of Von Wafer when we drafted him?

    2. Kobe Bryant adds another spectacular game winner to his resume. This puts him ahead of Jordan now correct for more game winning shots in the regular season with 27?

    3. Lamar Odom shoots the ball better off-balance and landing on his ass than taking a normal shot. He made some key plays for us last night on both ends of the court.

    4. Carl Landry is exactly what are team is missing, but I think Josh Powell has the same upside.

    5. Andrew Bynum was robbed last night by the officials whistling him for some cheap ticky tack fouls. Let the big men bang inside for crying out loud.

    6. Trevor Ariza was the difference maker for us last night. Without his hot shooting off the bench we probably lose by double digits.

    7. I liked the large lineup we used late in the game even though there a few blown assignments in the defensive rotation, but there was an intimidation factor on the floor with Kobe-Ariza-Powell-Odom-Gasol on the court at the same time. I was hoping Bynum would also get minutes with that squad.

    8. If I'm a Houston fan I'm wondering why Rafer Alston is taking the final shot in the game? It should have been Wafer, Yao or Landry.

    9. Will the Lakers have anything left tonight against the Spurs? Our starters have been logging HEAVY minutes with all of our injuries. We need to start signing guys to 10 day contracts to limit the wear & tear on our vets.

    10. When is Gasol & Bynum going to have a great night offensively at the same time?

Gonna be hard for both Gasol and Bynum together to produce. Their game are both pretty much high post right now.

I was hoping to see more from Gasol, it seemed to me like he didn't know what to do with the ball most of the times and he also missed some wide-open 15 footers. Kobe was kind of struggling during the first 3 quarters but he made some sick shots in the 4th, after he pulled up that sick three pointer I was like "hell yeah" when it dropped. ;D Sick man he is. I have to say that I really enjoy those games more, when Kobe isn't terrific throught the game but when that 4th quarter comes, he pretty much always makes those awesome shots.
I also have to give props to Rockets. But they were red hot. Von Wafer ?? WTF ? He was playing like an all-star. Yao was a class of its own but we could also see his big brain when he took that last jumper, is he really that dumb that he doesn't know the score when there's like 10 seconds to play ? Skip 2 My Lou also choked, missing both of those free throws (although his FT % should be pretty good).
Anyway, I really enjoyed that game. (Don't bother my english, I'm not a native english speaker). ^_^
