I think he is getting close, he is on strike 2. However bringing EW&F to the garden gets him one free life in my book. He's safe, especially assuming that he was not really the one solely responsible for the e-mail. Had he been, he probably would have been fired. I'm also not going to pretend to know all of what Larry Miller's responsibilities are with the Blazers. I'm sure he has done good things, but from the outside looking in, he seems more flash than substance.
Miller had nothing to do with the Comcast Fiasco. If you're going to make a poll condemning someone, please at least get your facts remotely correct.
Yup, this was mostly a Mike Golub brokered deal: http://www.bizjournals.com/portland/stories/2007/04/23/daily14.html?b=1177300800^1452078 Larry Miller didn't come on board until late summer of 2007.
You are correct, June 20th, 2007. So he only mis-managed it for a year and a half. The Blazers could have (and still can) exercised a clause to void the deal before now but have chosen the $10 mil per year over having fans see the games. Fox would not pay that much.
There was nothing wrong with the email Miller sent out. Especially since the league denied us the ability to pick up Miles off the waiver wire
Dump him. Why would we want a team president who understands that the NBA is a business? Why would we want a guy who is willing to get his hands dirty fighting for the team's best interests? Doesn't he understand that true Blazer fans want other teams and/or the league to screw us over? (is my sarcasm too subtle?)
ha i was working a ewf show, and a couple of their production roadies were SO FUCKING CRACKED OUT it was beyond hillarious. it was like someone told them if they stopped talking they would die. popping into the bathroom every 5 minutes. we loaded their whole truck and half their shit was still on the dock and didnt fit lol. we walked off and let them deal with it. who cares if miller stays or goes, does it matter at all? as long as kp is on his game, we are good.
