Yes, he does. Same body type, same style of play. Can take it inside or shoot the 12-15ft jumper. Yes, KG is still better and stillc an do more, but as you saw with Amare last year, young players can easily add a few things to their game to make them huge successes.
I am going to choose bosh because he can step it up when you really need to and dwights scoring is usually under the basket
I seem to disagree with everything you guys say. IMO Dwight Howard is the better player. Altough Bosh has put up slighly better numbers, his presence has not been felt as largely as Howards. Howard is a tremendous athlete, arguably the most agile PF/C in the league. His defense and rebounding is better than Bosh's. Bosh is slightly better on ofense but the gap has been closing and will be closed this season. Howard is one of the brighets stars, but has been ignore, peopel will soon realize just how good thsi guy is. When hes done playing, with teh potential he has and his athleticism he could go down as oen of the greatest Pf/C of all time.
Only slightly better on offense?Bosh scored 22 ppg, whereas Howard scored 22. Howard is still raw offensively whereas Bosh's post game has improved a ton, he can score inside, and he has an awesome mid range jumper. IMO, Bosh will always be the better offensive player.

Shaq is(or was) absolutly unstoppable, and as Bosh grows into a KG type of player, Howard is turning into a Shaq type of player. When Howard reaches his potential, he is going to dominate the NBA and will be wwwwaayyy better than Bosh at Boshs prime.
I actually think that Howard will be better when they both hit their primes, but saying that Howard will be wwwwaayyy better is a joke. And that Shaq/KG thing doesn't make sense. I would take KG over Shaq right now.

Once Orlando realizes this, and he gets more touches, he is going to average over 20 ppg. I think that will be this season and at latest, next season. Bosh has more versatility because he can go outside, but Howard is better in the paint and is alot stronger downlow. Aside from offense, Howard is a better defender, and a better rebounder. I would take Howard in a heart beat. Not because Bosh is a bad player or anything, but because Dwight is just that good and is going to be amazing.
I dunno about that, if only because Howard doesn't HAVE to put up the same offensive numbers for his team to win. I think Howard being on a team would make a team more successful than having Bosh on a team.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (CB4AllStar @ Nov 4 2006, 06:38 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Bosh is clearly the better offensive player..</div>youre clearly a raptors fan
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (CB4AllStar @ Nov 4 2006, 08:38 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Bosh is clearly the better offensive player..</div>aside from his range, he has nothing on Dwight. Dwight is better on the block, and he has strength and power on him. He has the ability to overpower his defenders which Bosh cant do. He is definitely not "clearly" a better offensive player, and im not sure even if he is better offensivley. Howard doesn't take near as many shots and his field goal percenatge this year is 67%. I know its only threw two games, but last year, he shot 53 percent which is great.
Bosh is definately a better scorer to me. Not just because he is more versatile, but because he has proven he can be a #1 scoring option and can be relied on to score over 20PPG. Howard still hasn't shown he can be that kind of #1 option.
Bosh is also a younger player than Bosh is. Like I said earlier, once Dwight gets more touches and gets more involved in the offense, he will be a 20+ a night scorer easily. He averaged 16 a night last season while not shooting the ball very many times at all. So far this season, it seems like he is getting more involved and he has a good chance to score 20 plus a night.

Howard isn't quite there yet, meaning he still isn't a reliable, consistent 1st option who will always give you 20pts on a nightly basis. He is still a bit raw, inconsistent and doesn't have the killer instinct to just take over games yet. I'm sure that will come, but for now he I feel Bosh is a better scorer.
In my eyes, Dwight is a more sufficient scorer. It doesn't take as many shot attempts for him to get 20 in a game compared to Bosh. I will agree with you in the sense that Dwight doesn't have the power to put up 20 a game every night, but you are wrong when you say he cant take over a game. The other night against the bulls, he put up 20 points in the first half. He only ended up with 27 but that is due to the fact that he didnt play much in the second half. I say that if we judge the two players after this season, you wouldnt be saying all of these things.
We'll see, but that was ONE game. Brian Scalabriene went off against the Pistons in game 5 of the 2004 East semi's, but it means nothing. We'll see how Howard does this year (I am expecting great things from the kid, he's a beast), but as of right now Bosh is the more reliable, versatile and proven scorer.
It is one game but they have only played two this season. And its not like he didnt have big games last year were he took over games. Im not really making the arguement that Dwight was a better scorer than Bosh last season, but I honestly think that this season it is up for grabs. Dwight is entering in to his 3rd year, and that is when Bosh broke it open to 22 a game. I think that it is very possible for Dwight to average around 22 a game. He certainly has the skillset to do it. All he needs is more offensive touches and he is set.
