Bulls pulled it out when Noah played Bosh to perfection after Hinrich blew the inbounds pass. But still a really nice win with Gooden out again. Rose had a huge game with 25 and 10 and Hinrich was very good up until the botched inbounds play. Pretty much the whole team played well with one exception. Not expecting the same tomorrow night against Cleveland....

    Quick Recap:

Rose finished the game strong, just when people were starting to lose some faith

Clutch Block on Bosh by Noah

The "3-guard lineup" of Gordon/Hinrich/Rose moved the ball well and didn't just play the Rose screen and roll offense that was causing the Bulls offense to grow stale.

    Thomas struggles continue

Noc brings 2 things to a game, bad D, and occasional big 3.

Deng showing signs of coming back(14 rebounds!)

Didn't miss Gooden at all, but the Raptors are weak inside outside of CB4

Barngnani has been hot lately, but allowing 31 points? Ugh.

Of course, all this positivity might be blown out tomorrow against the Cavs.

Didn't see the first quarter but Tyrus had 5 boards and 4 assists and no TO's in 21 minutes. His shot might not be falling, but he took it strong to rim while I was watching and he filled up the stat sheet. I wouldn't say that was struggling.

How many years will Tyrus need before we can count on him to be a force? 5 rebounds in 21 minutes is not good enough for a number 2 overall pick in his third year.

That's almost 10 in 40, that's not a bad rate. And if he was playing Bargnani, he was standing out at the 3pt line where it's a little tougher to get rebounds.

It's hard to get rebounds when Bargnani shoots 10-14 over Thomas, too.

How much of that was with Noc and even Gray on him in the second half?

9 points in the second half, 7 after Thomas got yanked after fouling him, 3 minutes into Q3.

Well, for all those that believe we need to pursue the 2010 strategy, tonight was a good night. A gem of the 2010 free agent class, Chris Bosh, got to see Rose light up his team.

Bulls did pretty good against the Raps...Noah finally showed some heart this game. And as for DRose..I've always had faith in the kid even in his few bad games. He's a rookie and I expect mistakes from him.

But speaking on the 2010 draft:

We have CBosh, LeBron (Would be expensive but a dominating SF), and Kobe (Kobe wouldn't be impossible to get but I'm not sure how much money he'd want) in that draft. Would even be cool if DWade came back to Chicago since he was born in Chi Town (BUT, he seems tied to the Heat and Riley).

I think the most attainable would be CBosh and could gel with Rose pretty damn well. I am certain that we will get one of those star players come 2010.

    And speaking on 2009:

In the mean time unless a guy like Chris Kaman comes onto the market, we should attempt to find a solid SG. I like BG, but I don't think he's gonna cut it in the long run. Joe Johnson will be a free agent, he might be hard to attain due to his connection with the Hawks, but then he might not be hard to attain....and he's just what we need.

He can compete with the best and could replace BG. Not saying that I don't want to attempt to keep BG but he wants to start and play a major role and attain a fat contract...he might be too expensive for his set of skills and his demand to start probably wouldn't be met if we acquired JJ.
