http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wi...0090112/is_camby_a_possibility_for_cleveland/ the deal will be something around: Sczerbiak + 1st rounder for Camby Damn... Camby for D and Z for offence... plus you have big ben and varejao off the becnch. This would most certainly put the cavs at par (or even better) than the lakers when it comes to talent. Offensively, the Lakers are 'slightly' better. Defensively, the cavs are already, if not way way better than LA. We Laker fans would normally say that 'we have Kobe so no worries' but you guys have LeBron... so they basically cancel each other out but LeBron would surely dominate the individual matchup. Anyway... scary thought...
do the Cavs really want to invest 42 million all into their front court? And it's not even like any of those (Varejao, Ilgauskus, Wallace and Camby) can play SF, so you'd essentially invest 42 million into 2 positions.
That would be a great trade for the Cavs if they can pull it off. I hope this isn't true though, because I want the Clippers to shop Kaman instead of Camby. Although they're probably shopping them both.
The Clippers aren't going to make anymore blockbuster moves until they have a chance to see what the team can do with Kaman back. At one point the Clippers were playing .500 basketball after they acquired Zach Randolph. They've been hit with a rash of injuries, but right now the franchise feels it can compete for a playoff spot IF everyone can get healthy. Baron Gordon Thorton ZBo Kaman 6th Man - Camby Those five starters can be competitive and Camby is a solid rotation player off the bench.
Breaking news: D. West has just fractured his wrist... this decreases the chance of this trade since they'll need that other perimeter guard in sczerbiak
