Yes!! He's gonna start! Makes sense. I'm sure Roy has already given the orders. And Sergio is better off coming off the bench with Rudy. And once Blake comes back, Sergio= 3rd string, just when he thought it couldn't get worse.
That's amazing. He's on the front page of ESPN.com. That is HUGE. He must be soooo happy. I'm glad we held him back. It geared him up to be on top of his game once his chance arrived. He needs to send a thank you card to Reggie Evans.
I do love the guy but let's wait until he can 1) hit a jumper or at least 2) put up another game like tonight before we start calling him "Air Bayless" or whatever.
unfortunately the guys over at espn didn't actually watch the game with a great line like "Oden was thoroughly outplayed by New Jersey's Brook Lopez when the two were on the court together".
Good for the young guy Just saw the article, I knew he had a great night, just by word of mouth, but didn't know he did that well. Hope he gets more burn.
I agree so long as they mean "for this one game". If they honestly think that Bayless is going to have more impact than Greg Oden then either they're insane or this is a savage indictment of Nate's coaching.
Well what other game would it have been for? I don't think Sheridan is implying anything at all about Oden's long term potential, just noting that Bayless seemed to come out of nowhere.
did you see the quote i took from the article? it said that lopez thoroughly outplayed oden when the two were in the game together. lopez absolutely had the better game of the two.
Which is not a bad thing at all. Bayless will still get significant minutes and a chance to impact the game. His time as a starter is coming, and there's no need to rush it.
Then I think Nate is going to say he's got some more thinking to do ... But then again if the Sergio starting (but only playing for 20ish minutes) and Bayless subbing (but playing 25+ minutes) rotation produces results why mess with it?
If Bayless does well again it might be a indication to Nate to leave him coming off the bench instead of starting.
