He is competing with Gasol and Lopez. He has a nice amount of double doubles and is ranked up there in blocked shots and rebounds but those guys have better numbers overall. I would guess that Greg would make it on his high profile overall but is it fair to the big men who have produced more? And will Rudy make it? I don't know. I wish Bayless played more earlier in the season because I think he could've won MVP of the game. He would flourish in a game like that.
If the league is trying to showcase him, then he'll be on the team. Performance wise, I don't think he deserves it.
His PER > the others. His team > the others. His ppg might be lower but (and I haven't looked) adjusted for minutes played it could be equal or better as well.
He's better than the others when he's on the court. He plays fewer minutes, though, which holds down his value. I could go either way, in terms of whether he deserves it.
lopez is better but oden compares favorably with gasol and two or even all three may make it oden is a lock due to his fame
I'm honestly not sure. He hasn't played badly, but he hasn't wowed anyone. I think he'll make it though.
7.9 ppg, 6.9 ppg, 1.1 bpg. Not what I hoped for this season. I mean, in his last 31 minutes, he only grabbed 4 rebounds. That's crazy. When the season started, we thought Oden would fill our weaknesses- rebounding and defense-but he hasn't. Yet. Thank heavens we have Joel. Or who knows? Maybe the presence of Joel is holding Greg back.
