The Hornets are currently losing to the Cavs and very well might lose to the Pistons. That would move us above the Hornets, provided we beat the Bobcats, and that's the 4th seed, home court advantage territory. And hopefully the Magic will thump the Nuggets and we'll move closer to the Nuggets for the division lead. By the end of the month, we could be in a really good spot.

Detroit hasn't been all that impressive this year. They lost to OKC tonight and aren't shutting teams down like they have in the past. The Iverson experiment hasn't obviously worked this year. Imagine how awesome it would have been had the Nuggets kept AI. We'd be leading the division for sure right now.
Things achieved easily are never as rewarding as things that are achieved with hard work and suffering.
I'm guessing a little of both. Detroit was never going to get by Boston or Cleveland the way they were, and they took a big risk... and if it didn't work out, then they could just dump AI for cap space. They're going to free up more than $35 mil this summer when Sheed and AI expire. It'll be interesting to see what Dumars does.. I bet he could use Carmelo right now.
