You anticipate the season coming off a disappointing playoffs, not having our big man, again exiting out of the first round. So you get those additions with Ron (Artest) and the other guys we added to this team. That anticipation builds up. “It wasn’t my normal offseason. It wasn’t my normal training camp. It’s been tough physically and mentally. I didn’t have the offseason I normally have to prepare for the season. “I tried to go out and play on one leg. This league is too good. Me trying to get our team off to a good start kind of hurt me a little bit and maybe put our team somewhat in a funk. “I’m going to bust my butt to try to get back.” Without a healthy T-Mac, the Rockets won't get passed the first round. Making the playoffs would be in question. The Rockets need T-Mac to lead them, and if Tracy and Yao are healthy, no one knows how far this team can go.
lol All I was saying was this team will go as far as Tracy takes them. If he does hit the weight room and recovers to his 04-05 form, the Rockets will be tough to beat.
The thing is we need more than just Yao and Stacey at their best to reach the promise land. Of course they're vital to any success we're going to have, but they're not enough. I think that point's been pretty clear over the years.. besides we all know both won't be 100% healthy, so I hope everyone PLEASE drop the "IF Yao and Tmac are healthy." They won't. They're bound to get injured. I just hope that if this team fails to make the second round this year, this team will fail BIG. Maybe that way Morey will be forced to get rid of one of our superstars.
If T-Mac does recover, think of how many open looks Yao, Scola, Landry, Artest, Wafer, Battier, Barry, and Brooks will get. It's unfair to say Yao is bound to get injured, he is not injury prone just unlucky. Okur/Igauskas stuck their food out, and Tyrus Thomas did a barrel roll into his knee. I'm not worried about Yao, he will be in shape for the playoffs that is a given. If T-Mac is really motivated to come back, there is no question in my mind who the best team will be.

Please, are you Tracy McGrady speaking for yourself? The McGrady this year doesn't deserve that type of comments. He is no longer capable of leading a team in this league.
If, “I’m going to bust my butt to try to get back.” is true, then maybe he does. Plus, McGrady always coasts through the regular season and steps it up in the playoffs.
Are you serious? You think T-Mac is close to the level of Kobe. That's amazing. T-Mac should probably worry about Von Wafer for now.
