Almost everybody was coming into this season. There is a thread dedicated to predicting his season somewhere in the worm hole. I expect him to at least learn not to put his freaking weak hand on a guy's hip every god damned time he challenges a shot. How hard is that to learn?
Bayless is a rookie playing his second meaningful game. Why do you continue to beat this horse? They are both getting minutes, and both played reasonably well tonite.
Since the mods don't believe who I am... this is JE, sorry about posting drunk earlier guys. Canned people don't have as much control as they would like.
Simply responding to ridiculous fiction from Bayless coddlers attacking Sergio. No more attacks, no response from me. I agree they both played well, but using Bayless out of position (Nate's fault not Jerryd's) cost us a game we could have won running away, literally. Charlotte simply could not get back quick enough when Sergio pushed it full court. Playing Sergio about 10 of Roy's minutes would have been nice to keep some flow going, and Jerryd was a better option than Roy in this game. Roy is like leg-irons to a full-court offense.
Wow, dude . . . over-react much? I'm kind of glad you're so fed up with these "pussies" - so you can find another team to root for. Seattle's a good option. edit: you too, WillG.
Good God . . . hey, here's an option BEFORE you send your #1 draft pick to the Minors . . . how about demoting him to being a sub for awhile before pulling such a retarded stunt??? Unbelieveable!
This is either the most ironic post I've ever seen -- considering this guy's screen name -- or pure satire. Either way, it made me laugh.
Wow. That loss sucked. Roy sucked. I disagree it had much to do with Bell's defense -- a healthy Roy can overcome Raja Bell. Roy missed plenty of good looks, and Bell wasn't guarding him at the free throw line. Roy's hammy had to have been bothering him more than Bell. Anyone can have an off-game, but for Roy and Nate to fail to recognize that Roy could not carry the team in his condition, and to continue to call Roy's number down the stretch when he was struggling so bad, sucked. Share the frikken ball. I would have rather seen Sergio at the point and Bayless at the SG. The thing that surprised me most about this thread is that no one called Roy out for shooting the ball with 10 second left in the game clock. Luckily he got baled out. I seem to recall a heated debate on here when Travis made a game winner recently under similar circumstances. Had Travis or Sergio taken that shot, there would have been hell to pay on this board. If it weren't for Rudy, we'd have lost convincingly. I do believe the called play at the end was for Rudy to take that shot. He was the only chance we had to make a three. As for his quick release and the fade-away -- that's just how he shoots. Nate may have also been thinking like some of you, that the Bobcats would be focusing on Roy or Travis. Unfortunately, Rudy was blanketed. A few seconds left on the clock gave us a chance for a rebound. It wasn't Rudy's miss or Sergio's pass to him that lost the game -- free throws did. This Sergio vs. Bayless pissing contest is misplaced, IMO. I was happy with Sergio and Bayless last night. They bring different things to the floor. Sergio is a real point guard (who needs to continue to improve his shot) and Bayless is a SG (or at best a score-first PG) who we hope can develop a point guard mentality. Frankly, if he doesn't have a pure PG mentality by now, he never will. He is what he is, and I thnk even Maris agrees that Bayless is a damn good player who will get better. I would have liked to have seen more Bayless (and Sergio) and less Roy in the fourth quarter.
Yea, I was being satire. I just wonder how long the players are going to allow teams to keep driving up the lane knowing they will always have a free two points. It gets so tiring hearing Wheels and MB say we make the other teams players look like an all star. The reason is because we don't play defense and are truly scared to foul anyone. I have been upset with this ever since the Cleveland game at Portland last year when the Oregonian had the best picture proving that point. It showed LaBron driving to the hoop for the game winning lay-in as LaMarcus, Travis and I can't remember the third blazer literally were holding their arms back so they wouldn't foul. I guess I just have a tougher mentality than the players. I feel the teams should earn a win against us and not just have it given to them. I would like to know what LaBron thinks of how bad our defense is after the quotes he gave praising Nate's defensive coaching.
Yeah, we suck because we can't stop LeBronze. By that standard, every other team in the NBA would also suck then.
