What is your favorite sports bar in Portland?

    Why do you like it?

Is it a good place to watch the blazer games?

Gonna be compiling a list of places to go to watch blazer games and then will be reviewing them and rating them on atmosphere, food and beverage selection and quality, service, seating, tv selection and quality, etc.

If you have someplace you'd like to add to the list I am working on I'd appreciate any suggestions you have.

    thanks

    Is it worth going to?

Or if you had it to do again would you pick a different place?

Was it a good place to WATCH the game? TVs ok? Were there enough of them? Big enough?

    Good food?

There are a lot of places that call themselves sports bars that really aren't. And they are not good places to go and sit and actually WATCH a game.

they had some good TVs....food and beer was good too. nothing High Def. you could be loud and watch the game too...which is always good

Does portland have really upscale sports bars...we have a few in LA...lots of High Def plasmas, leather chairs, the whole 9.....really fun stuff.

    On Deck
and the City Sports bar are both on my list of places that I will be reviewing

Do you paste on a fake beard and use fake ID when you go to a sports bar? :)

I've been to both of those. On Deck is more like a restaurant that happens to have televisions. Good food. Not a ton of screaming fans. If you're looking for more of the Sports Bar atmosphere, The City is good, it has a bigger television and the food was decent, but the ribs I had were spicier than I like by far, the place I'd suggest for that is Grand Central Bowl. Several big televisions, good food, good drinks, can bowl as well. I've never watched a Blazer game there, but I imagine they can have a good Sports Bar atmosphere for Blazer games if you are looking for that.

Both are great places, although On Deck is a bit fragmented in terms of groups watching the same game.

It very well could have been me. My stepfather have half-season tickets, so we are at a fair number games, and that was one of them.
